Your in-game name: BeepudDylan Which timezone are you in? I reside in the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-4) in the Sunny (Emphasis on the word Sunny) state of Florida Which languages do you speak? I am a native English speaker, but I am working on learning spanish. Though I'm only at the begginers level for spanish Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) I have yet to be banned on the server and I plan to keep it that way! Why do you think you should be a mod? It is my belief that I would make a great Moderator as I am outgoing. I'm good when it comes to problem solving, and always try to be there whenever possible. I am ready and willing to go the extra mile to make sure that all players are accommodated and that the server is operating smoothly. I am vigilant and always make it a habit of thurroughly investigating all matters before coming to a decision. I have the tenacity to do what needs to be done, and the soundness of mind to make the right call in any given situation. I might not always be available, but when I am I make sure that any rule breaking is reported through the proper channels. I'm hard-working and ready to take on a task at a moments notice. I know that with proper treatment of a problem, I can resolve it with the highest of satisfaction. It is my hope that given the chance, I can become a dependable and well-respected moderator. I have always been a friendly guy, and have tried to show everyone the respect they deserve. I have always been the kind of person who always improves upon my best, and am always open to constructive criticism. I know that I could be a valued member of the team, and someone who can become better with every single day. I have never been one to break the rules, and would make sure that everyone is held to that same standard. I know the road ahead may not always be easy, but I am ready and willing to walk that line. My goal will be to always exemplify the standard for which moderators should aim. I believe that, if given the chance, I will be right at home with other mods and members of the staff. In conclusion, I would be a great choice for my out going nature. For the dependable mod I know I could be. On the basis that I always make sure that rules are meant to be kept, not broken. Lastly, for my friendly and respectable attitude. So, why not give me a try? You may find that I'm the perfect fit. How long can you be active on the server every day? Mon: 11am-4pm Tue: 10am-4pm Wed: 11am-3pm Thur: 11am-3pm Fri: 10am-3pm Weekends: Saturdays (10am-5pm) and Sundays (8am-12pm) Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I haven't been a moderator per se, though i have experience in moderating a server. The first server I was in was my brothers, in which Cypriot was an Admin. There I had most of the same permissions as the admins, and took it upon myself to help out wherever was needed. I played on that server for about a year on an account that my brother had given me. Unfortunately, for reasons, that I was not made aware they had to shut down the server, and my brother went on to eventually quit minecraft in order to focus on school and work. I was also a co-owner of a server that unfortunately is no longer active. I was in charge of making sure that all our staff were doing their job as was expected, and not just abusing their rank. I was also in charge of promoting players to Mod, as well as, demoting as the need called for. I helped run the server from day 1 until about 3 months before it shut down. As my account was hacked before the server shut down, I am not certain what the cause was. I assume that my counterpart was no longer able to keep the server running. Do you meet the requirements for staff? Yes, I have Authy setup on my Phone and Skype always at the ready!
Although you sound very civil and sensible the application needs a lot more detail. It provides little information and detail and it would be great if you added colours to the questions. Try to add more- detail, qualifications, traits and colour.
~ Well it is quite good that you have been introduced to the forums a little bit but try to get into the forums more ~ Lay back a bit with all the bold, underlining and colors ~ Add a bit more detail to the "Why do you think you should be a mod?" section ~ I'm neutral for now but good luck ~ Little edit: When replying to people's criticism click on "reply" on the bottom right of the post.
I shall update it ASAP... And thank you for your input! I always appreciate a little constructive criticism.
I will keep that in mind as well, and again thank you for your input. I find that a little constructive Criticism helps a lot.
In a world gone insane with destruction one man will rise up from his lawn chair. He fights for truth, conquers in the name of love and yells at small children to get off his lawn. He is... Myrmidous. This is not his story. (Suggested music: World's Greatest Second OST The Third) Pleasure to meet you, BD. Still killing those gym weights? #GetThatPump Also known as God's Waiting Room and home to the amazing Florida Man! Let's hope your application doesn't require a recount vote, sir. For the non-'Muricans in the crowd Eastern Standard Time is also known as UTC-4. "Begginer" sounds like the name of a pirate ship if the captain had a speech impediment. +1 for knowing even the fundamentals of a second language, a lot of us struggle with our native tongue. +1 again, this is highly impressive. SkyBlock occasionally seems to lose its mind and ban people harder than a daycare on R. Kelly. If you've avoided the "Rando-Ban-O" this long you must be playing very clean. This is really the part of applications I truly enjoy. Let me settle in, turn on some Marvin Gaye and slowly scroll down through here for a while. ...alright, I can see this being a good trait. +1. Keep it up. ...genuinely impressed so far, this is one of the better applications I've read over lately. Another +1, nicely worded. Three +1s in a row?? Hold on just a minute: I need to check outside my window for some raining blood and a Pale rider. :writing: Literally cannot remember ever giving three "well saids" in a row before. This made me scowl harder than a Catholic priest at a pro-choice rally. Fix that grammar please, sir. It feels like you were trying to mash "gathering facts" with "investigating matters" and ended up stuck worse than a fat kid in a pet door. RAWR This is so suspiciously well-written I spent a few moments Googling phrases like "best interview tactics" and "10 things the hiring manager wants". Other than a single misplaced comma I can find no fault for this section and-- against my nature-- I'm rather inspired. I am also making a small bet right now: Without looking at your bio or profile I am going to bet you're over 21 years of age, there's an actual résumé somewhere on your computer and you've been through several job interviews in your life. This entire application is textbook "Direct Appeal" turned up to Death Star levels of intensity. Nicely done. I hope you an too. •amused• Pope Francis called, he would like your input on a few issues. Are you interviewing for SkyBlock or the Public Relations manager for the St. Louis Police Department? This entire application is thoroughly impressive. Johnny Cash approves. This entire application is like a motivational poster got drunk with a fortune cookie author and made some bad life decisions at 2am. I haven't seen this many one-line aphorisms since reading the top 50 Facebook statuses of 2015. This is not a cut against you, sir; I am very much impressed at how little I can see to offer corrections on. This made me go cross-eye'd for a moment while reading. Too many usages of "be", I understand your intent but rephrase this slightly. Or not--I give pretty worthless suggestions and frankly you're doing amazing already. I like that you are following the "rephrase what you want them to remember" guideline here and providing a walk-away thought to consider. Nicely done, first time I've seen that in a Moderator application. The rare and coveted +2 for demonstrating an idea I hope will catch on. Congratulations on volunteering for the 11pm to 8am shift, Redeye Ron. Unless you're willing to work those 3-9 hours literally at any time of day you might want to post a time you'll be available. Something like "I'll be online in the afternoons on weekdays"? If you really will work at any time of day then jot that down here; it would be massive points in your favor. I'm sure there are time zones you could be slotted into that need more administrator attention. STAND BY WHILE I GROWL IN ANGER. The phrase is "per se", it is Latin and used to replace the words "by itself" or "in itself". For example: Eating Taco Bell per se (by itself) does not necessarily mean roommates will hate you. We focused less on his intense body odor per se (in itself) and more on his creepy mustache. While I have never moderated per se (by itself) I have done many things that are very similar. Very, very few people would catch the incorrect usage here. But now you know something nifty to share with the office when you want to drop an interesting backstory into a conversation. Ignore this entire comment if you wish, I'm slightly drunk and this made me go off out of pure punditry. •DEATHLY PAUSE• This is like suddenly realizing the homeless guy I've been talking to is actually Bill Gate's golf partner. This application suddenly went DEFCON-2 on me. Did you kill it...? Not accusing, just curious sir. So... you killed it? Was it shut down because of something you did? Slightly ambiguous, but not really a serious problem. This whole section is a nice time capsule of your management history. Nicely done. With an application this well written I was expecting an "outro" here with standard-style employment and reference information. I understand this is just an online admin position with no real authority but I feel like you missed a trick by not including the follow-up footer. Other than that you'd have my recommendation for just about anything. Nicely authored, sir. Support Status: 100% (Template This For Future Copy/Pasting)
Thank you for your most valued input Myrmidous.... I will make sure to change the few spelling and grammar errors to make sure it is at 100%!
Judging solely by your application, I can tell that you are a very civilized person, and tries to keep everything in balance. Although there are several spelling, punctuation and grammatical mistakes, they aren't to be too worried about. You did misuse the word "per se" which defines to "by itself". You would refer to yourself as me or my, as opposed to what you've written. Yes, I can be a semantic sometimes. Other than all those, and a missing comma in: Which should be Lastly, for my friendly and respectable attitude. I removed that final comma; since there are only two adjectives that you're listing. In case you're asking, no, I'm not an english teacher. These are just feedback by the way, I can't support you until I come on the server to see your activities.
Very good application! Very well laid out, and it looks like you will be a good moderator for the server. You have 100% support from me! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
That's about normal for most Mods on the server. I spent around 5 hours a day on this server Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Honestly my job is computers.... And I wouldn't say so if I wasn't serious. Will do, I have a whole 3 days in which I can be on from dusk till dawn (with a little break to eat in between of course). And a most humble thank-you for your support!
