LOL no one will know the difference the lag is already so bad xD people will be like oh it's just the usually crash. Then like people will ddos the server just to get cyp on LOL. I shouldn't joke, but It's a little funny.
Okie, if that's what you think good for you. The reality is the all DDoS and most DoX attacks rely on IP addresses.
Well I'm gonna. Drop out because that went 0-100 real quick. Possibly excuse my joke, it definitely wasn't aimed for being malicious, just a joke to lighten the mood. It wasn't me that made the bad comment, but I have no affiliation or support of the malicious comment. I was simply joking. Until this calms down, il drop out and good luck to you all on handling this

If someone uses a resolver, they are going to get your ip anyways so what is the point of updating? And if you really are wanting to 'hide' your ip, just use a vpn whenever on skype.
Don't tell me to update Skype lol. Every time I update it is worse than before. My phone used to have a working Skype, instant chat, instant message loading etc and after every update it is lagging more, messages don't load and it crashed randomly while I am writing a message. Same thing on PC btw. And my PC isn't that rubbish Also I don't care about people viewing my ip, as I am using a Proxy server, therefore I feel quite safe.
The whole point of the update is that Microsoft finally had enough of people's IPs getting stolen from Skype, and put protections in place so that resolvers no longer work, basically means that instead of making direct connections between 2 clients that they proxy all the connections themselves. So yes, update when you can.
but they still work. i tried it on my own skype acccount, and it showed my home ip, which is why i still use a vpn
