Take it from me cowboy. Donor means nothing. It's not about being a donor to be popular in chat. When I first got Donor25, I was the same still, little interaction and whatnot. Highroller, and eventually Overlord, didn't help at all. It's just you who meets these people. I have befriended plenty of greenies while playing. It's not about the rank, it's about how out there you are. Now, I come from org, so chat is a little less spammed, easier to get to know players... But if you make an honest attempt to meet people, you'll make friends. This shouldn't be one specific type, all players are able to be discriminated or ignored. It's not about your title, it's who you are. Be more outgoing, message people, get out there, and eventually people will notice you, donor or not. It just takes a little time

 

There's this thing called skyblock.org, generally an accepting community until they talk s*** behind your back. Most get acknowledged.

I used to agree with crap like this until I thought more. Without donors, these servers probably wouldnt be open unless crew is rich. Donors do have the upper ground, they have things non donors dont.

These threads are pointless imo, no equality will come from ranting about inequality. I think before equality in some pixelated game, there should be a focus in real life situations. But ya know, whatever.

Greenie or donor, if you say stupid things in chat and you do stupid things, you deserve and should expect being verbally abused.

I'm pretty sure I already replied here about how this thread is utterly meaningless, but I'm going to point out that I myself has not spent a single penny on this server, and at this point I would consider myself relatively well-known. I first joined the server in 2013, and by the summer of 2014 I was one of the most so-called "popular" non-donors on .org. I was such a popular non-donor that someone decided to buy me donor for free. (That's my downfall into a not-too-popular-donor.) When I log into the servers, staff and donors recognize and respect me, although on .net I'm a "greenie." I'm just living proof that you don't need a donor tag to be respected.

Difference between donors and greenies is so simple. Donors donated money to buy the rank and greenies didnt. I was ignored in net when i was a greenie but when i got donor everyone noticed me and start talking to me. All donors were greenies.

 

I'm a greenie and i don't get treated badly.

 

May I just point out it's not just greenies that get disrespected. You make it sound like greenies are the only one who don't receive respect. I have been verbally abused by greenies before. Sometimes to get respect you have to give it. The amount of green beans who simply talk to me for my kit, and when I refuse start to cuss my out is ridiculous. So the title of this thread should be "Everyone needs more respect".

Seriously, unless I start talking with someone and have a dialogue I assume everyone is out for whatever they can get for nothing and I assume the worst, donator or not.
Now, people like Dewmellon have a kind name with lots of colors and I chose her out of everyone to trust and /visit to initially because I had a lot on the line at the time. She knew what I was trying to protect (keys before starting my island) and I had no clue she wasnt allowed to kill me on warp.
Greenies have to take chances and ask a lot of questions because they dont know how anything works yet- and skyblock.net has a lot of rules other servers do not.

 

Well, if you feel like the community are all peanutheads are you going to want to stay and donate?
Not me.
Many people including donators have admitted this game is mostly social at this point (of course 1.9 is here so we can get our dual wield on and play with new inventions in single player until servers update) so how you are treated is a big part of what keeps you coming back.
