A point of good discussion comes from observation. Lately I have been reading up a lot of suggestions and found certain flaws that exist with a lot of them. I will detail the problems below. Suggestions that require a new plugin Sometimes players want to bring more functionality into the server. Ideas like mob arena, mini games, kitpvp (mob arena style), chat features etc are constantly suggested. From experience not a lot of new plugins are added as net is rather bogged down as it is. Adding new plugins simply isn't in the servers best interest. Not that it is wrong to make a suggestion that requires a plugin, however we should work with what we have. With this being said... Suggestions that require development of a new plugin Another issue is people who request ideas that would involve a developer creating a plugin because there are no plugins that are already created which can do what they suggest. Remembering that developing a plugin takes time. Perfecting the plugin so it is suitable for the server can take a while. But it also isn't free. The likelihood of a plugin being created from scratch is low unless the server desperately needs it. A great example is the tradeshop plugin. It took a lot of work and even so the bugs were not completely ironed out. Impossible suggestions Then we have the down right impossible suggestions. These mainly apply to forum suggestions I have noticed as people try and ask for features that do not exist within xenforo or even as an add on. A lot of suggestions are not well researched and people just make them without much thought. Fixing something that isn't broken/valid alternatives Another flaw is people are constantly looking to improve things that is functioning fine and trying to suggest an easy way when there are perfectly fine alternative solutions. Not everything needs to be made easy. Improvements are welcome but for things that are not functioning well. Finally People that post "Support" on suggestions People should explain their support or no support. It may sound tedious to do but often the points raised in suggestions will help if it is being decided upon. Even if it is saying "Support because of what others have said" it is far better than one or two words. fin
Yea, I agree, but i think just "support" is enough- we get the point, we want to see it implimented, "support", although people should say why they dont support.
Even so I mean explaining a support would be like a plug or convincing people why they should also support I guess. Its nice to have pros and cons explained. I don't know thats how I would view it.
In contrary, the last Point is the most capital one! Everyone's just saying "Support" or "no Support". It is not about voting! A Forum/Server is not a democracy. Otherwise just post a poll, period. No, it's about Argumentation. If everyone supports but there are no arguments, why should an admin implement it? You MUST bring arguments. Very few arguments for one's Position have more weight than many unargumented opposite opinions.

I rated them all funny because you all basically just say "Support" as if in contrary you would be objecting to what I just said before in my own post (and what you said in yours) That's contradiction made me laugh
BTW let me Point out that there is no Need to reply "agreed" or "Support", since there is a rating-System on the post itself for that. It's just unnecessary stretching (spamming?) of the thread.
Though I do agree with what you're saying, I want to put this in here. The impossible, or hard to do suggestions, are some of the best. Anything that is out of the box or a challenge is what is needed. Nothing would change if something new wasn't suggested. It's a good idea to still discover what others have yet to think of. The idea of free thought and for new creations is one that can continue the flow of the server(s) and yes, servers. Org, Skywars, etc. they exist too, and I see that left out a bit when referring to Skyblock. Anything that is obviously not going to happen, I can agree with it being unneeded. However, if it's something new, and something that can be interesting to add, that's just the sole reason of the suggestions thread. Again, I agree with what you've said, just feel that suggestions that are new and could shine up the server, Should deffinetly still be there!
