Lowering the prices might actually cause people to farm bones more aggressively, which makes more lag ;-;
I don't support this. Yeah the bonemeal prices are high BUT I want to build stuff on my island too! Did you ever saw the prices for the clay/obby/quartz/netherbrick prices? They are all so amazing, BUT they are WAY too expensive to build with them. Without bonemeal being a good money resource, I would quit org and start concentrating doing more important stuff than playing minecraft. If you want to lower the price you also have to lower the block prices. I am spending hours to get a few k to buy stuff to start my buildings.
If you lower the price of the items, then (hopefully) the price of other items will decrease because people won't afford itl
I think the price is a little out of hand, while as the same time I'm greedy and like money. If hoppers were fixed and brought back in I'd totally be down for these prices getting lowered a bit.
I highly doubt it's get that bad. If anything the richer percent sells their cobblestone for less than the new players. Although to be fair, only I think 9? People have 1m+ and 9 have 800k+. Only one player has 5m. Krissy is close, but half of hers was given by a quitting player, and then there's nekoemmi, who has 3mil, but hasn't killed a skeleton or sold a bone EVER.
ITS TIME TO LEARN ABOUT ECONOMICS, NERDS This isn't true. Stocks crash when 1. A bubble bursts. (I.E. Things are being traded for higher than their actual value until there is nobody left to over-pay) in our system, nothing is being traded above actual value (except rares like heads, spawners, gravel, etc), since it can all be sold at shop. 2. When the money inflow / outflow changes. (Prices changing in shop or money-sinks being added) Inflation has nothing to do with a bad economy. HYPER-inflation is different. We are not in a state of hyper-inflation. See above. Everything will be automated eventually. Only way to make the system a farm based system is to either turn of redstone or remove Pistons and spawners from the game. (Which is actually an idea I support) SPEAK THE TRUTH AMEN BROTHER The economy will always favor one item unless 1. Some sort of money sink is added 2. Prices are constantly re-adjusted 3. Redstone / Pistons / Spawners are removed from the game Agreed. Also correct. Considering cobble is something you can buy from /warp shop for cheaper than that, this is an unrealistic exaggeration. However, implying everything will inflate is true. Items which you cannot buy at shop will inflate. (Spawners, redstone, diamonds, etc), but people will have more money. The only people harmed by inflation are newbies who will have a steep mountain to climb. But even then, the economy is not in a state of hyper inflation right now.
Welp, bonemeal prices were decreased, by over half. GG anyone that had shops buying bones over night. I honestly think this isn't going to solve anything. It won't prevent people from afking at grinders. It won't help prices, if anything- the prices of basic things are going to go up in price now because no one has a good source of money.
Well, I'm pretty happy, as people seem to be way too concerned about how much they carry, not how they spend it. So this is a good thing.
Economic prices, unfortunately, have no influence over the general mindset of users to be rich, rather than to be wealthy. (Being rich and being wealthy are two different things) The thing that will influence the mindset of people is the community itself. Too bad generous people are a minority.
I assumed you were exaggerating. I was mostly responding to people saying prices will crash, which is nonsense.
This is ridiciulous. If you want to spend hours to get resources just to CONTINUE spending hours to BUILD the actual thing... go ahead. Most of the people don't even want to build... they only want to see themselves in the top list. Great for all the other people who just want to have fun instead of COMPLETELY farming I know there are creative servers too.. but I thought i could make a cool building with hard work and few resources and now I can't even do that. Not the normal "Stonebrick castles and islands" I mean clay island with grass, glass, netherbricks etc. What happens now? Will everybody be happy? No because it won't change anything. The people who are farming a lot are still going to get a lot of money. The people who are not farming a lot still have less money than the rich. The end
I do agree with the Wealth vs Rich lifestyle, but I do belive the economy will change, it is actually like the stocks. You invested into bones for the sake of economic gain, and instead of reached a loss. You spent to gain, but now you've spent and loss. Those are the risks you take with an economic server. Infact, I had an idea long before, of a version of this for the server. The economy will be changed from this, will it be drastic, no. Will people change, no. But it will be a step towards these goals. In no way am I suggesting that the economy is broken or weak, but the cases I do see, are the constant climb to what is now the normal price for items. Wool used to be sold by stack, now it's hard to get. Wooden logs are 200 a stack, stone 40-60 per stack, the once minor items, are also affected by people having more money. All of this inflation, will lead to a major downfall. Not to be confused with a depression, people will still have funds, but to where no one wants to buy anymore, because it's just too ridiculous. You're all entitled to your opinions on the matter, I am merely stating my own on this topic. Another fact I'd like to add, is not all of us have the time to grind for bones or anything really, and knowing Afk grinding is against the rules, there needs to be a more efficient way for making money, that doesn't break the economy.
Yeah, I suspected this would happen. I made a pumpkin farm as my backup :3 Anyhow, I completely disagree with the purpose of this thread. Sure, the eco is complete trash now that it was easy to get rich, but now it's gonna be impossible to buy anything. If I'm right, and pumpkin farms become popular again, then guess what? Pistons lag the server more than mobs do.
