About Myself I am 16 years old. My name is Grace. I love to play minecraft, (preferably skyblock). I am a girl. I love to help people rebuild their island if they have been griefed or hacked. I watch the chat to make sure no one says anything bad. I try to notify people that spam can result in kick. Hobbies: Playing Minecraft(obviously), reading, running track, swimming, ice skating, and roller skating. My Qualifications: Creativity if something doesn't work i can find a better way. I am good at making things creatively. Keen I have a keen mind. I can think quick in a bad situation. Forgiving I am very forgiving. That doesn't mean I don't punish people for doing bad things, but I don't stay mad at them. Mature I am funny and I play around but when its time to stop and act mature I do not hesitate. Age: 16 years old Minecraft Name: Grace817 My Language: English Time Zone: Eastern. I live in the U.S.A Why I Want To Be A Mod: To help people if they have been griefed or hacked. I want to make sure skyblock.net is a safe community where people know that they can come here and not be taunted, mocked, cyber bullied etc. Because I am not a mod people don't pay attention to me, so if i try to tell them that what they are doing is bad they won't listen to me. As for a mod people act like they are the rulers and will listen to them. Have I Had Any Past Mod Experiences: No. How Long I Play Minecraft For: I usually play for 4-5 hours a day, sometimes more. How Long Have I Been Playing Skyblock.Net: This is my third year on skyblock.net Activeness: I try to be as active as I can even though sometimes school can get in the way. Have I Ever Been Banned: No.
No Support. > Needs lots more information added. > I see you only joined forums today, try to get used to the community first. > I have only seen you a couple of times ingame. (Timezones?) > When you are online, I do not see you helping. > Try to put the questions in the application, so we know which part we are talking about. Good Luck!
Why would you support an application that doesn't even have a full sentence for each section? Anyway, no support. Reasons stated by Bossgamer
No support also I find it a little suspicious that Zyxer and Grace817 fully supported each other when many others didn't. Also Grace if you take a look at accepted applications you will see the dedication and time people put into them.
Yes, you might see her a lot, but is she helping a lot? Problem is, I've seen her once or twice, but not helping even once. I'm sorry, but if your friend over here's mod application is only half a paragraph long, she had no chance, I am sorry
This literally took you 2 minutes to write. You joined at 10:14 and posted this at 10:16. This is an awful mod app and has nothing special about it. I suggest looking at other mod apps to see what one should look like.
No Support! ~ Not active on forums/in-game ~ Not helping in-game ^ Timezone ~ Lack of information ~ Please put the questions ~ Need some colour/bold
Oh for gods sake. LOADS of people can be online 24/7 and be really active, BUT that doesn't mean they should be a moderator!! They need to be able to help others, teach new people, assist others when they ask for it, and enforce the rules and ban/kick/warn people who don't follow the rules.
I spent longer speaking with Grace817 in-game than they spent on the forums writing this application. Here's some thoughts. This is a perfect example of why the American social system has failed. The United States is currently birthing a generation of meaningless, vacant-eyed gibbering post-monkeys that eagerly chew on furniture. Then gave every single one of them a smartphone and told them public attention was the point of life. Ants dedicate more time thinking about building tunnels than you put into this application, Grace. You saw that shiny Mod position and grabbed for it with both sticky, chocolate-smeared hands. You have no idea of the level of effort required in a management position; you're the toddler in a toy store that never wondered how the thousands of shiny things end up on the shelves. In the story of your life, you're missing the Chapter headings. In this case literally-- you did not take the time to put in the actual questions on this application. All we can see is the laziest one-handed typing possible with the bare minimum of time spent to get yourself a new thing to play with. "English" is a language, a cultural definition and a nationality. You're failing the first, I'm embarrassed you're the second and you are definitely not the third. You are the definition of "Lazy American", Grace. It obviously has never crossed your mind that there is more than one "Eastern" in the world. You're probably not in the Eastern Australian time zone, likewise you're probably not in Eastern Russia. Spend more than a femtosecond to spell out your correct time zone on the application. BONUS POINTS for adding something the whole world understands (like the UTC conversion). Here, I'll help: Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5). Now we know you did not even bother to use spell check. The correct spelling is "Grief". While "griefed" is not a real word generally we all let it slide because the English language is... unique like that. One single typo means 4.5% of your words are misspelled. THAT is how short your application is. I've spent longer looking through my wife's purse for a pack of gum than you've spent typing this up. This is my exact reaction to the very idea of you holding a position of authority. Thirty times longer than you spent writing this. Per day. The purpose of an application is to help select people who will benefit from having increased responsibilities. In return those individuals are granted abilities above the average player. This is less of a "gift" and more of a "job"; in return for that authority an awful lot of work goes into making sure everything runs smoothly. Therefore it is vitally important to screen out those unable to handle responsibility before they can misuse their authority and harm the community as a whole. This is why law enforcement officers are under such intense scrutiny: They have such great authority that any misstep is horrifying. While we're not at the life-and-death level of decision making on a Minecraft server (?) there still needs to be some due diligence. tl;dr -- Spend more time on your application, Grace. Fill out the section, put some question headers in and put some thought towards your motivations. For the love of God please make this look like it wasn't something you threw out while your Pop-Tart was cooking. And lest some people think I'm critiquing too harshly, I spent longer interviewing Grace than they spent typing their application: Support Status: Sorry, My Friend Is Texting KTHXBAI
Is this true? This person keeps repeating it. If it isn't you can use this as evidence of someone accusing you.
i dont steal he gave me his armor and i asked why and he left me. i was helping build his island the total opposite of what he is saying
Support! Today, you helped me a lot on my island, and offered not only me, but others to help. I hope you do become Mod. Who cares for how long you are online, what I care about in a mod is that they are helpful and are there when are needed.
