Introduction Hi, I am EGir900 and I really want to be a mod. I think I am qualified for being a mod. I have been playing on Skyblock for about 9-10 months. I once asked for help from a mod, but I never got any, and there were a lot of mods on. When I am on, it feels like all the mods are AFK, or they keep going AFK every five minutes. Positive I am positive because I believe that there is always a solution to a problem. I also believe that there is no need to be negative. It is important to be positive as a mod because you need to be in a good mood because the person who you are helping might be in a negative mood, and believe that there is no solution to their problem. Determined I am determined because I will not stop until I find a solution to the problem. It is important to be determined because if you can't just stop helping someone because you can't find a solution. Approachable I believe that I am very approachable because I will accept anyone that needs help. I am also open to any ideas that anyone has. Fast Learner I am a very fast learner because I can learn something very fast (within 20-15 minutes). I also love to learn. Helpful I'm trying to help people as much as I can, especially the new comers. Helping is an important quality of being a mod because that is what mods are for. Without helpful mods, the game would get out of control because people won't know what they are doing. I also like to help. Fun I am really fun in my opinion. I love to play games, that is why I play on Skyblock. All my friends call me fun too. Leadership Skills I Have a lot of leadership skills because I am one of the leaders of my grade. My teachers also think I have strong leadership skills. I am on the Leadership Team for my Taekwondo school, that means I help the students learn Taekwondo. I am also have leadership skills because I am not only on the leadership team, I am also a black Belt. Nice I will try to make other users feel comfortable on the server. I help some of the users build Banner Shops, cobblestone generators and other stuff. I also helped someone expand their island and I taught someone how do make a trade shop. Calm I don't lose my temper easily. I can also be very patient with other people. Calm is another great quality to have a as a mod because you will have to remain calm when the other person you are helping is not being calm. Calm helps you have a positive attitude and will help you find a solution because there is no panicking. Polite I am very polite for my age. I know that being polite is very important, that means saying "have a nice day," "Please," "Thank you," ext. That also means not saying bad words because younger children also play on, and enjoy this server. Respectful I respect people of all ranks and all types. I noticed that some people tend to show respect only to players with higher ranks and I feel that that is not fair. An example of this is that people in the chat say that they would never trust greenies because they always scam. I will respect anyone and everyone. As long as you are not rude or hateful to other people. Knowledgeable As I continue to play on this server, I learn new things every day. I know the server's many rules and other basic and essential information. Open-minded I strive to keep an open mind about everything and everyone that I encounter. I am very approachable and I love to be exposed to new ideas and new interests. I feel that as a mod, it is necessary to be open-minded because you deal with many kinds of people/problems/opinions every day, and in order to keep things positive and clean, you have to be impartial and accepting of all that comes your way. Honest I am very honest, to others and to myself. Honesty is an important part of being a mod, in my opinion, because I know that I have to be a trustworthy person that people can rely on. I tell the genuine truth, and that is very important so people will have a good first impression of you. Kind In general, I am a very kind person. I like to be nice to people and I like to show my politeness. I think being kind is the key to gain people's trust and to communicate more effectively with them. I know that it is extremely important for mods to be kind and not rude to people. Patient I am very patient with people. I have developed a prominent sense of tolerance and patience. I think this is a favorable trait to have as a mod because there are many things you have to take care of and be aware of because things can get a bit hectic on the server, you need to be very patient with not only the people you are assisting, but also with yourself. Fair One of the biggest qualities that I think make me qualified to be a mod is that I am fair and just with my decisions. A mod must be very fair, especially when dealing with bans and other related matters. As most of you know, a mod cannot abuse their powers or allow their background judgments to overthrow their sense of true fairness in their decisions. To be an effective mod, I know that being fair will help me make sound and unhampered choices. Charitable I like to help people out with items they lost. I'm not too concerned about wealth on this server and I'm willing to give up some personal items to help people that were either scammed, griefed, or just derped out and lost the items. I could go on and on, but I don't want to waste your time. I would really like to become a mod because I want people to know if they need help, they can come to me, or another staff member. I have gotten grieved once and it was really bad, when you spawn in, you take one step and fall out of the world. The house that we have built got knocked down, all my chests got destroyed but 1 and the private ones. There were massive holes everywhere. I am still fixing my island from the grieving. If that happens to anyone else, I will WANT to help no matter what, I know what is feels like. Do you meet the requirements for staff? Yes, I believe I do. No Support Yet. Fix your grammar (the commas go inside the parenthesis) If seems as if you don't know the forums well enough yet, so work on that. You mod app is a pretty good start, but adding a bit more minor detail could help. Help out more on the forums, though I can't speak for in-game, since I haven't been on for quite a while.
