    My opinion:
As Full Mods + have social spy, if anyone messages a player death threat, to go cut themselves, etc, it would be a 1/2 day mute or ban. If it is in public or local chat, it would be a 3/4 day mute or ban.
I'm unsure if the mutes or bans are too long, but as this is a serious issue, punishments should be placed for situations like this.

I'd also like to add, we are meant to be a friendly community and moderators are here to enforce the rules. We want all players to feel comfortable and safe on SkyBlock, not scared to come online and play due to a player harassing them. Players who are being rude to others do need to be punished, especially for something like this. This can really effect a person physically and mentally.

I see both sides of this tbh.
I understand where you're coming from, it is very upsetting to hear things like this, and I'm sure for people who are already emotionally fragile, it could be very detrimental to their self esteem and happiness.
I also understand the "grow up, it's the internet" viewpoint.
I really don't see a need for this thread, telling people to kill themselves has always been under the rudeness/disrespect umbrella for me, unless it's obvious that they're friends joking around. I don't know how current mods are treating this situation but I never ignored anything like that if I saw it. Kicks and mutes apply for one time things, maybe temp bans.
If it continues, it turns into harassment, and more severe punishments become an option. There are rules in place for this right now, maybe they aren't being used quite right, but they're there.
But then again, you can always utilize ignore, and the mods will do their job to keep people safe.
People on the internet don't know you, why the hell should you care what they think? Your friends and families all love you guys, so ignore the idiots who tell you to kill yourself over a refused deal. If that's hard for you I would recommend working on your idea of self worth, and utilizing the ignore command and report section.
But nothing needs to be changed rule wise except education of the current moderators that yes, they can kick/mute people for things like this, and yes, bans are okay if it continues. The infrastructure is already there.

I do like the idea of having a set rule for things like this, as you can only /ignore them and know what they'll say after the incident.

But this generally falls under other "speaking offenses". Kicks and mutes for one times offenses, then bans for harassment.

What I'm saying is that we've been recently told to not kick or mute for /msg offenses other than DDoS threats or mass advertising, which is why there should be a better system for this.

Doesn't this count as disrespect? Lol. If it's in message, /ignore them. Sure, maybe you can't 'ignore someone telling you to kill yoursel', because 'as soon as you read the words, your body shakes' and so on. But if you really aren't able to type a few letters, you should see a psychologist. There's always the option of pressing command+q, and shutting minecraft, or teamspeak, or whatever.

Plus, why would you care about someone you never met and probably won't ever meet? I mean yeah, you could be depressed and suicidal and whatever, I mean I get it, I had that too, but come on ._.

Rule 5: Do not disrespect others (or server)/swear
    Offence Level: Depends

No one likes disrespect, and few people tolerate it. This server is played by people between 5 and 50, and we do not want young kids seeing and using swears, 4th grade is low enough! Think I am crazy about this? A number of players (case in point was Gigantic_Man) are banned for disrespecting. Kids get banned almost every day for server hate as well.

Telling someone to commit suicide, or harm themselves, is falling under disrespect. The offense level is depends, but this is a major problem. It might seem like it's no big deal to some teenager on the Internet, but if you said it to someone who's been going through hard times in life, they could take it personally and actually commit suicide. The number of suicides in the world are growing and this needs to stop, we were all made for a reason, even if you don't think so. It's not right to tell someone to kill themselves. I would love a rule about this, it would solve so many problems. You may not think this is that much, but there is one death by suicide (In the U.S.A every 12 minutes)

Tl;Dr - Please add this as a rule

I have my views on this. I generally wont tolerate bullying behaviour. I think this is something staff can discuss because this technically comes under the disrespect rule, even if unwritten.

I agree, I feel like it's more staff interpretation than a completely new rule issue.

Support, death threats are illegal in the UK so if they threaten someone to go kill themselves they should be PERMANENTLY banned.

Support, death threats should be definitely punishable, even though if I see someone making a death threat I usually mute them for 15-30 minutes depending on how severe it is.

Meh, not much support, learning towards neutral. It is the Internet, but it is interwoven with a persons feelings. They have tools to use for their advantage and others watching out for them.

However as far as a post expressing my views, it's probably best if those are left unsaid on this thread. For the moment at least

I personally punish players for this, not as harsh for "kys" since people make stupid sentence which it could be but other things, I punish extremely hard for this. I warn 3 times then I mute for 30 minutes.

Although the problem is not every moderator agrees this is a serious issue, therefore only a few amount of moderators do this- and its the few who get called out for 'power abuse' and in time even less moderators still punish for it.

I can stress enough how much of a rule this should be. Support. After all, this is a kid friendly server for god sakes, kids play on here.

See this is where I make an ironic joke like "This thread made me want to kill myself."
    But eh
I'm neutral on this topic. Things like this depend on context. If it's actually meant to harm yeah there should be punishment. But if mods are still as lenient with bans nowadays then they'll probably be banned for a week tops lol
