If your gonna call them 'humorous' then you can put it on the original mod application. I thought you were a better person than this. You just got on my bad side. OfficerWade, Let me state how that just because you don't seem to like casual humor that can be taken either as rude or funny, does NOT mean that you have to go out and start calling out every single person's mistake on this thread. Honestly, I think you have something better to do with your life. As with Myrmidous, I personally enjoy his reviews, and find them nothing but mainly satirical or sarcastic. He reviewed mine in a very critical way that helped me edit my application, and that has only been proved to end up helping me in the long run. Seriously, stop complaining and just leave the guy alone. You have a problem with what he does, then you don't have to start pissing off other people too about your problems.

 

Just saying but this thread has been turned into a "What would you have rated my mod app with?". This is more evidence that people like Myrmidous' posts. People who are critical of Myrmidous should just ignore his posts if you don't like it. You should just leave it.

Wade, no offence, but you really can't talk Look at the comments on your app "You need to be more mature". I think Myrmidous is one of the politest people I have ever met and he is extremely mature. You just need to except his sense of humour.

It would be a little pointless to review, SugarCane -- how could I suggest improvements on an application that's already been accepted? I suppose some jokes could be made but that is about it, sir.

Enjoyed that thread, thank you for the link CoolCreeper. Lemonade is correct; the person making the decision on who gets to be a Moderator probably doesn't care how many "support" or "non support" the applicant has. At the end of the day my small post buried on page five of LolzSoManyPosts isn't going to make a bit of difference, positive or negative.

I'm a nobody. My opinion doesn't matter. But flipping out, spamming forums, calling Moderator friends to delete posts and getting threads locked? That's some extremely high visibility.

I think that both of you are just about to start a flame war. Myrmidous is just being humorous but he doesn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. For him being a grown adult, his jokes are fantastic (I mean Myrmidous doesn't make adult jokes), and they're 100% funny.

Please stop arguing about his humor and creativity.

Almost an absolutely dead-on perfect application, very little to find humor about. Random-clicked a winner that time: I wish this world had more CoolCreepers in it.

 

I think you should have some sort of permission from someone to satirize their application before you do it.

 

All of them explicitly ask for feedback, sir.

The only argument possible is "How constructive is the feedback?" -- and if all replies have to be completely constructive then a great deal of "0% support, good luck" posts are in trouble.

So far I've reviewed 30 applications. Look how few people are losing their minds. Everyone else either gave my critique the good old tl;dr, ignored it entirely or thanked me for the recommendations. Are people upset on behalf of someone else... who wasn't even bothered? That seems... odd.

What kind of crazy superpower do I have? My one, meaningless post is going to destroy an entire application? I'm just not that good, sir.
