Is copying things illegal?

    I'm pretty sure more than half the things built on Skyblock aren't original ideas of players. It's just like saying if I build a squid grinder, everyone who has one would think I'm copying them. It doesn't really work like that.

    She didn't really claim it as her own. and it wasn't Mae's original idea either. I've seen plenty of those kind of archery ranges.

    Never has been illegal to copy a design on skyblock. People complain about banner idea theft and design theft and there is no such thing in the rules for this. Yes it is frustrating when people do it but if you really dont want your idea used, hide it.

    I always credit who I borrowed ideas from because its the right thing to do morally since there is no "legal" involvement over minecraft designs.

    Much like the person that copied mineverse's spawn. Nothing legal could be done.
    But you see how it makes you look like a jerk for doing so, because you cannot come up with your own ideas, nor asked, nor properly credited.

    So moral of the story is, go ahead and build what you feel but be respectful and ask the person if you can make a similar design and credit the creator if you do with to borrow an idea or build.

    I'd say it's not illegal but morally wrong to claim credit for someone's hard work.
    Plagerising is illegal.

    Yeah, I get what you guys mean. There's so many differences though from what I see that I don't know how it could be considered a copy now anyway. Leon3ppp helped me build after seeing this so I doubt he would have helped me copy something :) I'm proud of what we built.

    I never claimed the idea was mine, she did, and she never apologized for anything. If you had a screenshot it would be a different story, but the fact that you have no proof means you're lying.

    She seemed pretty confident that I would be, she let her rank get to her head from the way I see it. Also, are you speaking out for her or...? I don't know how you would be able to know what she was thinking.
