Since it is sometimes hard to buy an upgrade, why not add donation bucks.

Donation bucks can be obtained through shop.skyblock.net and shop.skyblock.org
They cost $1 each and are credited to your account. Once you get enough to upgrade, you can buy the upgrade.

eg. I bought donation bucks and now I have 10 donation bucks. I am a greenie. I do /claim. It brings up a window like BuyCraft. I click "Ranks" then "Donor 10". I get Donor 10 and it charges me 10 donation bucks.

This makes it easier for people to upgrade because, for example, people can't alway afford $150 for the upgrade from 100 - Skygod. If they buy donation bucks, they can buy donation bucks in parts when they can afford it. It means the server doesn't lose any money, but it makes it easier for people to upgrade.

There is also /donationbucks give [IGN]

This gives a person donation bucks. This means when people buy others ranks, they just buy the donation bucks for themselves and give them to the other person, resulting in less chargebacks and, if they do chargeback, they get banned themselves.

Also, /transfer [Number of Donation Bucks]

This will transfer the donation bucks from .net to org and from .org to net.

    Questions:
Q: Skyblock.net isn't an economy server. Won't this add a currecy to Skyblock?
A: Donation bucks aren't meant to be used as a currency, they are meant to be treated as real life money.

Support, this thought out idea could reduce the amount of chargebacks, almost destroying it. Which is great! It would be great if a moderator could have a command to moderate all transactions though.
    Support for this idea!

So basically this acts as a form of "Layby" or savings thing?
Not saying its a bad idea, but this functionality must be compatible with buycraft. If this cannot be set up with buycraft then it will not work, thus cannot be implemented.

Yes, it is sort of a savings thing, Krissy.

Buying bucks for other accounts would be made illegal.

No support. Donators are people who donate with real money. If you want a discount, wait until a sale. (ones going on right now.)

This still costs real money. You can't earn the money in game, you have to buy it so the server doesn't lose anything and it is exactly the same. It is like a savers program.

If you read the thread thoroughly you will see that the only way to obtain a donation buck is by donating. eg. 1 Donation buck costs $1 and if you want to buy donor 25 from donor 10 it would cost 15 donation bucks etc.

Uh... how is this more beneficial than just saving the money yourself? That way, if you decide you want to spend it on something else, you can actually get it. :p Great idea if the thing above wasn't an option. Neutral

Neutral, I agree with Robby. This is no difference than just setting aside money in real life and paying it all like normal

Donation bucks can also be used for buying others ranks to prevent chargebacks. Instead you buy the donation bucks for yourself and then give them to the person you want to buy the rank for.
