Hey. My /nick is usually something to do with the word gay, because I'm proud of the person i've become and I'm not afraid to be myself (oh no, someone call the police) and usually I don't report homophobia because it's usually insignificant to my experience on minecraft but I've gotten a lot of hate about it, and I was wondering when homophobia is enough that I should report? (Friendly reminder that my ign is usually gaymercoey on minecraft and the only reason i changed it back was because of shop signs that i didnt get help with before my name change timer was up, so my /nick is not abuse) I know that its honestly a homophobia magnet that i have the word 'gay' in my name, but it's not a bad name tbh and it does relate to my usual username. I will be changing my ign back on Jan. 1st, but back to the og question, when is it significant enough to report homophobia? Thanks for discussing with me :)

well there will always be homophobia, and a lot of children do learn from their parents. I mean if they are directing it against you reporting it is valid and if its extreme than yes, all report worthy.

Homophobia is reportable when it goes out of hand, for example making threats, discriminating you, and abusing you game/real life wise.

Also, when it breaks one of the rules, e.g. swearing.

If they are just stating their opinion, I think that's okay, but when it comes to discrimination or disrespect, go ahead and report. Also, I think you can also report them if they are making you uncomfortable in the server. But if all else fails, /ignore is available to help you.

Honestly just ignore them. If they break other rules, like IRL threats or swearing, go for it if its worth to you.
    You do you.

I Don't think anyone should judge you cause there is nothing wrong with being gay, i respect that! even if people do judge who cares what they think!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. So long as that opinion isn't directly insulting you, slandering, or presenting gross untruths, there's nothing to punish for.
