Its always annoying when I try to visit someone with a nickname but it wont let me because there is no island under their nickname. Instead of needing to ask them what their gamertag is, I think we should be able to /visit the person as we see their name in the chat as well as their actual name. To do this though, wed have to remove dupe nicknames (if that is a thing?) to make it so we don't visit the wrong island. I think this could be a good idea and a nice addition if it was implemented!
No support, sorry. Me, along with many others, use nicks that players that don't play this server have as their ign. This would cause a total disaster, imo. And, if that person with that username ever joins the server, wouldn't that be a bit confusing?
This wouldn't be possible, because what if I had the nickname Dewy, it would conflict with the user Dewy. No support.
Why don't we just have a command like /realname? lol. Pretty sure ranked players or somethin' have this, but what about the greenies? Last time I checked, it didn't work ;-; Like, /realname would be helpful for non-ranks reporting too.. I'm not sure if there's any other command for finding out nicknames, but something like that command would be really helpful. For this, no support. As said already, it'd be annoying for people with similar names to regular gamertags.
Yeahh. But imo it'd just be better for all players to have /realname for incidents like this one, and in case someone's being reported. It's always important to include evidence of their name.
/realname is currently a donor perk. As of now if you need to know someone's realname just /msg a donor.
