Hello all, I am broken and feel horribly bad now. I fish through most of the threads everyday and I have come accross many threads which break my heart. I myself lost 6 beacons and I'm not in a position to rebuy them check my sig if you want to help. Back to the topic, I see so many threads of people losing stuff and it makes me sick because I understand your feeling. I believe some could be fake, and mods have trouble knowing which are which so if no proof is present then people become heart-broken of their loss because they won't get a refund. The absolute saddest part is the fact that people could've prevented losing their rares or diamonds, unlike me. Therefore I am making a initial warning about constant scammers that know how to get away with scamming.

Warning: please, please, please do your trades in a chest with many screenshots and preferably with a mod watching. Always be thinking, if he didn't do the trade is there enough evidence to prosecute him? I have seen 2+ threads about stel cheating people and that hurts me because she already has so much. As well others may be trying to ruin her reputations or they're jealous so always have proof.

I would say only do ground trades if the other person goes first, or you don't care that much about what you could lose.

Most people are opportunists. If you drop first without taking screenies or chatting, they know you siding take screenshots so they therefore know they can get away with it. Originally they would've made the trade but they saw the opportunity to take it.

Then there's people who want to scan and won't go first but f you take screenshots they will get banned

Not hating on greenies, but most of them are opportunists and if you just tp and drop they'll say there wasn't supposed to be a trade.

Please, it makes me sad everyone is scammed we need like to spread the word on how to trade safely.

 

I dropped 3 beacons on accident then clag took them. Does that make you feel a bit better? :3

That's true I'm as heartbroken as you can be for a pixelated object

 

People are too penny-wise and pound-foolish.

 

We can't be there to watch every trade. There are too many. Just make sure to trade in a chest and take lots of screenshots of both the conversation and the trade. Then you should be good to go.

 

Yeah it's very annoying when you spend money you get but then again, it's just a game...

Most of the people don't ask moderators to watch trades. Often saying "getting a moderator, 1 sec" is enough to deter scammers.

 

I once lost an end portal frame, 10 stacks of grass, 5 stacks of diamonds and a lot of spawners because I did /newisland and I still had them in my inventory. I know how you feel about loosing your rares. >.<

 

Almost every time I play, I video record my game. That way if I lose anything or get scammed, I have solid proof.

 

I lost 64 grass, due to a tpaccept. Then I lost 10 diamonds because I thought I had /fly on, but I didn't and I died. I also lost Artsie's hat, but I got a refund

 

I lost 13 diamonds and 52 grass because I thought I had /fly on.

 

Lost 2 spawners 2 weeks ago xD. Thanks to /fly ...
Also got griefed, scammed and annoyed by a lot of greenies... no wonder ppl are starting to hate them even though not all of them are bad.

I never had to report someone in the past few weeks for scamming, but i thought having proof of the conversation and the dropping item on the ground is proof enough?

 

Tbt to why I quit a few years ago, dropped like a bunch of valuable stuff (Can't remember what the items where) by accident.

 

Another thing you can do is change the drop key to something you can't accidentally press like g or h rather than the default q

 

I won a beacon at a skin contest once, and I decided to give my friend a discount if he wanted to buy it. He gave me the diamonds, and clag took my beacon. so I gave the diamonds back.
