Skyblock can be kind of a lonely mc version sometimes, especially when you are playing it by yourself. The ability for players to just visit islands - not fully 'co-oping' - would be really fun, imho. Friends could come over for a chat, new people could see examples of what can be done with skyblock, etc. After all when you are proud of what you've accomplished in sb you want to show it off! :)

Yeah. Multiple times I've tried to fly all the way to a friends island but in the end they were to far away.

Maybe you have to ask and when they accept, you can go?
And the the owner of the island can kick you out anytime,.
    That sounds reasonable

And if the owner island logs off the person is kicked out as well.

Yeah but friends will like trade the new island stuff. So your invetory needs to be empty before you go to someones island. And when you leave it your invetory will be deleted.. Or something like that..

Man, my english is really bad..

A new way to grief, but great idea besides that.

These are great ideas. I think that this should be implemented where:

    • Owner of island/ invitee can kick you out whenever the person pleases
    • When the invited accepts the invite, he needs to make sure his inventory is empty or else he won't be able to be teleported
    • When the invited person leaves the island, his inventory is cleared out in order to prevent item stealing/ island looting
    • Add an extra option to invite someone then auto kick them after a certain amount of time. For example:
    /invite [Name] 5 minutes

Would mean that invited person is only being invited for 5 minutes and after exactly 5 minutes, he will be kicked off the island.

Typing /invite [Name] would mean the person can stay for as long as he would like until the inviter logs off/ kicks the invited off.

I'm not sure why everyone fears griefing so much. If someone gets griefed, mods can roll it back, yes? So...life goes on

The timing and invite ideas are great options. The empty inventory thing...I'm personally of the opinion that becoming more Nazi-ish about trading will drive people away and create a negative impression. But if it has to be done to enable island visiting, so be it :)

I don't know how much I like the inventory ideas, but players could be put into a mode where they wouldn't be able to destroy blocks until they are kicked off left the island or they leave. This would also make trading much safer and easier.

I like this idea, I've had so many people ask me how I made some of my redstone contraptions, would be easier to just show them instead of me saying 'no cos I don't wanna coop'

I think that each island should be protected, and if they are untouched for 48 hours the protection goes away until another block is placed.

Or you could request a mod to protect them?
I've seen hundreds of islands that are just dirt and bedrock.

Therefore if a person were invited you wouldn't have to worry about griefing.

Evidently.... not. Many complaints of grieving, few replies, and some replies are of the "tough luck" or "just restart" variety.

Since there are no anti-grieving tools and little apparent concern, most evidently just goes unpunished.
