Because usually if you don't state a sport it's football since it's so popular and universal (or soccer if your a noob)

Soccer is one of the few sports I actively dislike 3: Rugby, AFL, Cricket, they're all good, but soccer... people falling over like they broke their faces when someone nudged their hip... not my cuppa tea :p On the other hand you see like rugby players with literal broken faces, out of place cheek bones etc, still on the field not giving a crap, lol.

this is the biggest myth in the sporting world, and probably the worst stereotype of football.

I've watched both rugby and soccer and I've found it to be true :p At least, that rugby players have broken faces, nose bleeds, etc, and soccer players seem to fall over and call a foul on grazing their knees :/ Idk, I'm not a sports person, so I can't say I'm a massive fan of any sport, but I've never been much for soccer.

a lot of players look for fouls if they were legitimately fouled, other than Ronaldo you probably can't mention a single diver actually.

American Football is also a sport where you're expected to go into rough battles, where as a Football player wouldn't, but still they will rarely go off unless forced to/major injury

I would find this funny, however actively most players aren't exaggerating. The players kick or trip each other with high impact as in bone brushing and concussions. Like what happened to Neymar he dislocated a spine. Also, messi had his knee screwed up. Lewangoalski xD had his jaw bone broken (most sense bone in body). Only some players fake it. Get kicked in the back of the leg with a stud and tell me you don't grab your leg to ease the bruising. Legs are like the easiest thing to bruise and like football it's all upper body with pads.
