According to chrix32, diamonds used to be worth a lot more than 20 grass. In the last 2 years the price for diamonds has fallen greatly for 2 reasons. The diamond economy could crash if the price gets to low.

1. According to experienced members, you could gain a ton of grass by battling mobs and it basically ruined the value of one grass block.
2. Kits are killing the diamond trade. If 400 donor100's get their kit 200 days a year, thats 80,000 dias a year. That drives the price down

Now a diamond used to be worth 64 (worth nothing) grass. Now a diamond is worth 20 grass and Ive bought some for 18 grass. Diamonds will be worth a lot less and something has to be done about it. The solution is 2 things.

1. /ma j
2. A new currency


1. adding the new mob arena battles with a smaller reward with a controlled amount of a reward (including the new currency). You would only be allowed to fight once a day (or 2) so you wouldn't be flooded with grass. If greenies have more grass, the people selling the diamonds will have to increase the prices.

2. The new currency would be added just so then the people saving up grass wouldn't lose all their assets. Gold nuggets could be added as the new currency or some other un-obtainable item.

I understand that this probably WILL NOT happen but its ok. Don't take this so seriously if it receives so much hate.

I think it's fair for the donaters, because of all the money they donated to get the perks/items.

Only way to fix the economy is a reset and that would only be temporary. It will always make its way back to where we are now

If we got beacon prices up, I think we can slowly get diamond prices up. LOL.

 

Ok I'm glad your assessing a continuing problem however
A. Grass will always be worth a lot because you can buy stuff with it.
B. Adding stuff to /warp donor for dias will remove the diamonds from the economy.
C. In the new update, if the new blocks are priced with diamonds then it will help remove them
D. As a side note, like stock, try to get blocks you want now as they may not be cheap later, and spread your wealth to different things not just grass...

Finally: we all need remember that this isn't an economy server.. Everything isn't set priced. If you think it is worth it then buy it, if not then don't.. If grasses value went down then big deal, because you own the grass because you thought it was worth it...

We already have an economy server, org. Also, you're saying if Donor400's get there kit 200 days a year, they get 80,000 diamonds. That'd mean that in each kit they get 400 diamonds.. rendering them useless, but they don't get that.

Um ... no support... First there is no /ma j on net. Second i think diamonds with that price are just fine. They won't get cheaper, unless someone with a lot of diamonds decides to sell them for cheaper than 20 grass. Also all ppl on the server (including greenies) have to buy them at a cheaper price to change the price of diamonds. But as chrix32 said, there is no fix price for diamond, but people are buying it for that price and if you are lucky you get one cheaper than usual.
