What would be great is if /kit donor100 could be used once every 24 hours rather than 24 hours from the last time /kit was used.

Often I forget to claim the kits until I log off, and the time at which I can use it gets pushed back and back to the point that I have to wait until late at night to get it or I have to wait until the next morning, Then if I don't play the next morning, I wont get it until that night and I would have missed a whole day.

People would still be restricted to one kit per day (or every 3 days for say donor10), but it wouldn't matter what time during that day (or three days) it was used.

This system is used for the voting sites which enable us all to vote every day regardless of when we vote during that 24 hour period.

 

It is already set to use once every 24 hours. Say if you used the kit at 2:00 pm on Saturday, well after 24 hours have passed the kit would be available at 2:00 pm on Sunday. If you used it at 2:00 pm on Saturday, then wanted to use it at 1:00 pm on Sunday, that would not be a full 24 hours. That would only be 23 hours.

 

But if you use it at 2pm on Saturday, and then use it at 6pm on Sunday, say because you couldn't log on til then, then you cant use it until 6pm on Monday which is 52 hours since Saturdays kit rather than 48 hours.
Every time you do this, it pushes the time out later and later to the point that you have to wait up really late or just miss it for that day.
What I'm suggesting is that there be a time, say midnight server time at which point the kit resets and you can use it anytime from then until midnight the next day but only once during that period.

I'm mainly suggesting this so that people don't have to wait up until later than they would like just to access their kit because they happened to have used it at 11:30pm the previous night.

No it's set to use 24hrs after you've last used it.
What the OP is suggesting is that if say you used your kit at 23:59, you could used it 1 minute later at 00:00 the next day, thus helping people who can't log in at the exact same time every day.

I support this idea.

 

You can't actually get more than 1 kit in 24hrs, which is the original ethos of the idea of having the kit cooldowns.

 

You would still only get one kit every day, which is as stated at shop.skyblock.net when you buy the upgrade. Which is currently close to impossible unless you can routinely log on at the same time every day.

The suggestion was made for the benefit of those who cannot generally come on around the same time.

I know its not the servers responsibility to ensure I log on to claim, but it would be an easy change that would benefit many players, hence the suggestion.

Full support this is such a great idea.

1. You can get your kit once a day. There is no set time limit so the time doesn't continue to fall back and back until you have to wait a whole day.

2. There is no advantage to getting your kit faster. There is an advantage to getting your kit everyday (or whenever it's allowed.)

3. If your a donor, you fully get this. This would help donors so so much.

 

SUPPORT all I can!!! This is the bane of my skyblock, when the time of kit slowly gets pushed back... There aren't any bad repercussions for this! I am so bothered when I miss a kit because I have something come up and have to do it late, and then it gets pushed to the next day!! Like what the crap!!!!! Yeeeeessss we neeeeed this!

I support this, but 1 flaw would be time zones. Im 6 hours ahead of America...

 

One concern is from a post made earlier. You could collect it right at the end of the cycle, for instance 23:59, then collect another at 00:01. That means you'd only have to collect it "once" every two days, since you are getting two days of kits in a few minutes. Kits are to encourage users to log on everyday, and to stimulate the economy. If more people get the diamonds more often, they'll be worth less anyway.

People won't be getting kits more often.
Although they could receive 2 kits in 2 minutes, they will never be able to receive more than 2 in 48 hours.
Also I highly doubt this will happen regularly enough to be any sort of issue.

 

I'm not saying I won't enjoy it if it's implemented, but it reduces the effort of logging in daily for them.

I don't think timezones will be an issue, this system give greater flexibility to the time at which you vote while still restricting people to one kit per day. I'm 11 hours ahead of America and this system, as implemented on voting sites, has allowed me to be currently sitting in the top 9 voters!! http://votesb.com/
