It's a bit strong to use on the forums, and children could get upset about it. Like Krissy said, just use the dislike for general nonsense. You could report it to a moderator and just ignore it.

I feel like by doing this, people will get the idea that its wrong to make a post about anything unless it's something important or useful, which takes away the idea of freedom with what we write. Especially in the general discussion section of forums, posts don't have to be important or necessary. As well as this, I can see people having fights over forums, and using this in spite, just to offend the other one.

However, This would be good if people were talking about something serious, for example. If a user started to spam random stuff that didn't help the situation, using the unnecessary rating might warn them to stop, without having to get involved or attempt to talk to them.

So it has its ups and downs, but all in all, we've coped fine without it, so why change?
