So, lately, I have noticed other members of the community resigning/leaving Skyblock because of school, and other responsibility blabber. Anyways, I want to ask: Why is school creating such a problem for playing? You can finish your homework and play at night, and if not, play on the weekends and do your homework all day Sunday with a nice cup of tea/coffee.
I'm sorry if this is a bit biased, as I have it pretty good. If I am wrong here, what lead you to quit/resign?

    See you!

It is a distraction from your homework.

    EDIT: Not to all people..

its what i think too. really, i couldn't care less bout school, but ya, lotsa ppl r quitting cuz of it. unless u have a mountain of hmwk, u dont really need to quit. of course i might be wrong, my school is starting late becuz the teachers r on a strike, but glad to know someone has the same opinion

You have to think, not all people are going to do that.

I hate school, but this year has been really fun so far. I survived the first week! I even got to play mc a few times! But my friend keeps dropping her books in the hallway and I always have to help her pick them up... lol

Yes but not to sound rude but you are only 10 years old. When I was in Primary school I got 1 piece of homework a week and I could do it in 20 minutes.
Now that I am doing GCSEs which are like tests that decide your future, I am spending hours on homework. Even before these tests I was spending 4-5 hours on each individual piece which meant I would get good grades.

Over the summer I was spending roughly 6 hours a day on skyblock and now it had been reduced to 30 minutes. With extra curricular clubs like:
    • Football
    • Guitar
    • Piano
    • Judo
    • Maths Tutoring
    • Futsal
    • DofE
These clubs have taken over my life and I am also going for runs everyday. A lot of mods also have to spends hours on Skyblock moderating and it's just too much.

Well. I'm almost 11. One more month till my B-day. 1 piece of hmwk a week? We have a bit more. I'm not saying it's hard. I mean... It just bores me, that's all.

Yeah our Primary school was very relaxed about it but now I'm getting about 9 or 10 pieces a week sometimes more. Most of them I only spend about an hour on but most 3+ hours. I should probably get off the forums to finish my PE homework...
My point is that we should respect the mods that have resigned's decision, as it is not fair that we judge them for resigning as we all have different amounts of school work. No one knows how hard it is except for them.

Playing too much isn't good, school or not.

Homework and studies come before, you don't have to play, but you have to get an education.

Recognize that most mods, including myself, are older. We have more important work, hours a day, leaving us with little free time. These things are important, way more important than a game will ever be. If your still in middle school, you are looking through a different lens than those who are older. It's tough to manage your time when you have a lot to do. Everyone has different obligations, respect them, they are different than yours.

Ehm... I was 10 in 6th grade. So... xD I at least don't automatically assume that everyone age 10 is in primary grades. Technically I'm 11 and in 7th grade, but I will be turning 12 in a week. It's the first week of school, and we get about 2 assignments per day because the teachers are calling it "buffer week" and going easy on all of us, but I had at least 2 assignments per day in elementary school, so... yeah... :D xD
