Hey there I have thought of this great idea to have a "Request Moderator" button on home page because there have been many times I needed a mod but none were online so what this button does is when you click it you have to put in your MC User and then why you need them then you submit and it will give them a group alert or a group email or even a group text, All the mods will be in those groups and a mod can say in the group "I got it" and go help the person in need -Fishy
I think the idea comes from a good place, it sure is great to be able to call a moderator in at will but I'm not sure this is needed. As far as contacting a moderator, you can always share Skype details and hope for that to work out but there's no reason in my mind to have this. I can think of it being abused, as such people will use it to troll moderators or waste their time saying the server is in jeopardy and whatnot. Also, the report button and thread should suffice for dealing with rule-breakers while moderators are offline. A respectable idea, but no support, sorry.
Not quite sure about this, Like HkTV said, It could be abused... So I will give it 0% support. Sorry. :/
I think this is quite a good idea. The argument that the system could be abused is true, however if you apply that same logic to any business customer service system, no business would allow customers to quickly contact them for fear of it being a hoax. If there is a hoax problem, the moderator in question would be able to ascertain in minutes the legitimacy of the problem and leave again. If someone abuses the system, future requests for help can be ignored and they will have to wait to contact. Repeat offenders could simply be banned. This system would also help moderators out in terms of them not having to sit on-line to receive problems. They could conduct other tasks, only going online if a legitimate problem arose.
There was an idea to let people use /helpop to request help in game. But generally if no mods are online, make a report on the forums, or try to pm/write on the wall of an online mod on the forums. Also check two servers for mods skyblock.net and skyblock.org as some mods work on more than one server.
Bit confused but I can understand where you're coming from I think.. You want us to add a button "Request Moderator" on our index page and when you click it it opens up a new webpage with a format Minecraft username: Server: [Skywars] [Economy] [Survival] and which ever moderators takes a look at it they click "resolve" button and log on the server and message you what you need help with?
Well I was thinking something like, 1.IGN: 2.Server: (Click) [.Org] [.Net] [Skywars] 3.And Specific mod?(If blank then any mods can come help.) 4.Reason: (Why you need a mod.) And if they leave 3 empty a computer sends a group text, Alert, E-Mail, ETC. and a mod can claim to help.
