Ok I know everyone likes to like/dislike stuff I know but it's getting out of control that's why I'm saying remove the rating from the forms. It would help people and mods/ formal mods. They removed them on mineverse it helped mineverse and I believe it can help this forms as well.

 

I don't see how it's getting out of control. Obviously there will be those few rate abusers but it's not exactly out of control really. I'm going to say no support.

i feel like the dislike rating should be made neutral. like do i really deserve this negative rating just because you didnt like what i said? i can understand rude but dislike seems unnecessary. it seems the only people i get dislikes from are the people that never liked me to begin with just to add to my negative rating count.

 

Im not sure. Then there shouldn't be a negative part at all. I think the dislike gets over used though over random crap like when I've received a dislike for voting on an auction or stating my opinion on an application.

There are some posts though that I find aren't rude and deserve a dislike which should be counting as a negative rating. I still remember when a disagree was negative an that was quite stupid.

In my opinion, I think we should remove ALL the negative ratings. Members had teased others about how many negative ratings they get. (ItsRainbow laughed at my negative rating on Skype)

We can keep the positive ratings.

Also, my opinion on this is neutral. I mean I obsess every time I get a negative rating and analyze what I said to see how it can be taken and most of it is jokes I said that were taken as a rude insult, or were just rude. Or just rate abusers, I don't know. Making negative ratings would be fine by me, I couldn't care if they stayed or didn't. It's just that ratings here can show if you're liked by the populous or not. Why? Because people judge you. Or because we can do math, or The needs of the many outweigh the few. Oh and also because if we make all ratings neutral I'd kinda lose my only valid bragging point and I'd kinda like to keep that.

OK I may as well say this

1. Removing ratings would delete the whole point of saying if you disagree with some one without posting "I disagree with that" and making it off topic if they start to fight over it.

2. If you think that a negative rating on a web site that only 200 or so people go on (at this point) is gonna affect your irl life then that's like me saying if I have someone criticize my art I should hate my life. It's pixles on a screen for god sake.

3. Ratings are used to inform an opinion through a button/click without going off topic as said above.

4. Without negative ratings it's like saying someone with a criminal background should not matter because it makes the person "look bad" but negitive to positive ratings judges who that person is on the forums not irl...
