Net and Org are different servers and though they share a lot of rules, there are some that are only for Org. Play fair and enjoy the game everyone.

There's a lot of text. XD I'm sorry. So,

TL;DR Version - The Rules
1. Do not grief or loot (including spawners & auto farms), on anyone else's island, ever.
2. Do not ask staff for positions or items.
3. Do not advertise, in global or local chat!
4. Do not spam, use excessive caps, mass message, or be offensive or disrespectful, in the chat, at all.
5. Do not island farm (create islands just for the resources).
6. Do not trade (exchange), illegal to trade items with any player outside of your own co-op players.
7. Do not scam.
8. Do not dupe items, or exploit a glitch, any glitch. (Including building duping machines & creating or having nether portals).
9. Do not kill other players for any reason.
10. Do not AFK auto farm.
11. Use an appropriate skin.
12. Do not nick abuse by impersonating someone or using offensive language.
13. Only use acceptable hacks or mods.

First things first, evidence is key. Without proof the mods can do very little to help. Unfortunately, people lie so the mods cannot simply trust everyone's word.
The F2 key is your best friend and will grab an instant screenshot of your MC screen. You can find these screenshots in your .minecraft folder in a folder conveniently called "Screenshots". If you're making a pm or posting a report on the forums, you can upload these screenshots directly into the post.

However, there are alternatives...

If there is a mod online, you can simply message the mod and tell them about the problem or rule broken. If they need your evidence, they may ask you to send it to them through pm on the forums, or if they can get the evidence themselves, they will take care of it.

If there is no mod online in-game, there are always mods on the forums, or there will be at some point. In this case, you can make a report.

Take your time and really put thought into it. Come clean, admit to what you've done, be truthful and respectful, then be patient. There is no guarantee you'll be unbanned, but if you are, make sure to more careful, the rules are important.

If you broke a rule that is typically dealt with by a kick (such as spamming), just be more careful and do not do it again. If your offense is more serious, you have an opportunity to admit your wrong doing and apologize. Yes, you can still get in trouble, but the mods look more favorably on those who come forward and admit wrong doing then on those who they discover tried to cover it up.

You'll feel better once you've admitted to what you've done. Make sure that you now understand the rules.

I've gone into some detail on the rules below. I've defined each rule, explained why it exists and what likely consequences come from breaking it. Keep in mind that the likely consequences are only what I've observed from my time in-game and on the forums. The mod dealing with the infraction will be the one deciding exactly which punishment is best using their judgment.

Warning: You will be told that you are breaking, or have broken a rule. Stop doing it immediately and don't do it again.
Kick: You will be forcibly logged out of the game, halting your play. You will however be able to immediately reconnect, assuming there is no problem and the server is not full. Don't repeat your actions.
Temp Mute: You will not be able to post in global or local chat for a set amount of time. These mutes do not need to be appealed as they will end on their own. Treat the chat with more respect.
Mute: A mute will stop you from posting in global or local chat and can be permanent. You can appeal a mute; in the same place you appeal bans, though you are not guaranteed to be unmuted. If your appeal is denied, you will never be able to use the chat again.
Temp Ban: A temp ban will stop you from connecting to skyblock.org at all for a set period of time. These bans do not typically need to be appealed as they will end on their own when your punishment is finished. Take the time to think.
Ban: A ban is not necessarily permanent but can be. It will stop you from connecting to skyblock.org at all. You can appeal a ban, though you are not guaranteed to be unbanned. If your appeal is declined, you will no longer be able to play on Org.

1. Do not bridge, grief or loot.

In short, do not do anything on another player's island or steal from other players.

You're allowed to expand your island up to 49 blocks out from the bedrock in all directions, meaning you get a total space of 99 by 99 blocks. This and only this is your space.

Griefing

Definition: Griefing is the act of placing or destroying blocks or liquid (water and lava) in another person's space. It is considered griefing if you break or place even one block.

All islands are protected, however breaking crops is still possible as is effecting item frames and armour stands. These things are still griefing and are against the rules.
As well, joining coops just to be destructive can fall under griefing (even though we advise that you only invite someone to a coop / join a coop if you trust the people).

It does not matter if the island "looks" abandoned, or even if it is abandoned, griefing is griefing.

Why is it against the rules?
This one is pretty obvious, or should be. Griefing destroys people's hard work, makes them afraid to build, and afraid to play. It ruins the game for people and makes it less fun.

Consequences
Griefing typically results in a ban.

Looting

Definition: Looting is the act of taking things from another person without their permission. Taking things includes but is not limited to taking things from unprotected chests, breaking chests to get the items, killing mobs at someone else's spawner without permission and standing close to someone's auto farm to get the loot. Taking 1 item without permission is considered looting, no matter what the item is.

This is closely related to griefing and will be dealt with in a similar way.

Why is it against the rules?
Similar reasons to why griefing is. People work hard for the things they have in game, they may have spent hours and many skybucks collecting the materials and building the gen you're now illegally mooching off of. They may have a lot of pride in that rare beacon or head you just snatched from their chest, or maybe they just really needed that carrot you took.

Consequences
Same as griefing.

Warning!

Not all coop or trust griefings/lootings will not be considered against the rules. It is your choice who you invite/coop with or who you "trust" on the island and you are responsible for the consequences. Only in cases where someone is joining coops purposefully to be destructive will mods get involved.

2. Do not ask staff for items, positions or commands.

Self-explanatory.

Definition: It is as simple as it sounds, asking staff if you can have free items, commands, op or any staff position.

Also, do not ask staff to replace lost items without valid reason and proof of ownership.

Why is it against the rules?
Staff are not allowed to give out free items and do not have the power to give away commands or staff positions.

Consequences
It would be up to the mod how they deal with this.

3. Do not advertise.

Advertising other servers is a high offence.

Definition: Posting the IP address of another server, or posting any kind of link in global or local chat.

If you're asked for an IP, you may give it in a msg. Remember that mass messaging is against the rules and putting an IP in a mass message is still against the no advertising rule.

You ARE allowed to give the IP of Noobcrew's other servers. His only other servers are: skyblock.net, hellblock.net, mineverse.com, skywars.net, skyblock-islands.com and craftmine.com. You can also direct people to the forums.

Why is it against the rules?
Advertising other servers may take people away from org, and we certainly don't want that. Links can also be for other servers or lead to inappropriate content.

Consequences
Advertising the IP of another server is most often dealt with by permanent ban. Posting links may be dealt with, with warnings to bans depending on the link and the mod.

4. Do not spam or use offensive language.

Basically treat the chat like your grandmother and a young child that can read are watching at all times. On top of that, don't spam and don't use excessive caps.

These rules are regarding the server's chat obviously. There is Global Chat, Local Chat and messages within the chat, and we like to keep it all friendly and fun. Remember that mods can see Global chat, but they also see all of the Local chat and have a feature call Social Spy, that allows them to see your private messages. They really are always watching.

Spam

Definition: Spam is an acronym that stands for Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. Mainly defined as posting the same message more than twice in a short period of time, or posting absolute gibberish such as "jskagjja". Countdowns are also considered spam.

Some messages need to be repeated, like warp ads, just make sure that you're giving a good amount of time between postings. Waiting one second and posting again is only going to irritate people anyway, not make them want to visit your warp.

Why is it against the rules?
Spam clogs up the chat and makes it hard for people to read the real chat going on in the background. Not to mention it just gets on people's nerves and can put them in a bad mood.

Consequences
Spamming is typically dealt with, with warnings, kicks and mutes.

Excessive Caps or Capital Letters

Definition: Excessive capitals are kind of a sub class of spam. Any more than 3 capitals in a row are considered excessive.

If you're posting in all caps, there's a good chance the Console is going to kick you. Some people use "(caps protection)" to try and get around the Console kick. Caps protection does not stop your excessive capital letter use from being against the rules. It's still wrong, and the mods can still punish you.

Why is it against the rules?
In internet terms, writing in all capitals is generally considered screaming and besides it looks irritating in the chat.

Consequences
Typically a Console kick, but can also be dealt with by mods using warnings, kicks and mutes.

Mass Message / Mass Pay

Definition: There is a command that allows a user to mass message everyone online (no, I'm not going to post it here). Using this command to mass message everyone, is against the rules. There is also a command that allows you to mass pay every user online. It is against the rules to mass pay with less than 50 skybucks going to every user.

Why is it against the rules?
Both commands generate a lot of text for the server and the mods, causing them spam and possibly adding to lag. There's no reason to use the mass message feature as you can post in global to reach everyone (those in local could be there for a reason, like they wish to be left alone). The mass pay feature is often used to pay 0 or 0.01 skybucks which help no one and cause the spam, so the 50 and up limit is in place to stop this.

Consequences
These offences are often dealt with by warnings and kicks, possibly something more serious if it continues.

Offensive / Disrespectful Language

Definition: The most obvious definition is swearing, though racist terms, racist comments, other hate directed towards people and server hate would also be included as offensive and disrespectful.

There is something on the server called the Pwnfilter which will automatically sensors swearing. This does not make it acceptable to swear, we still know you swore, and you can still get in trouble. It is also, obviously, very against the rules to change the spelling or add in spaces or characters to a word to attempt to get around the filter.

Why is it against the rules?
The chat is meant to be a friendly place where people connect, and there are often young eyes reading. There is no need for any kind of hate or discrimination that would make someone feel uncomfortable (well, ever) and there's no need for swearing on a minecraft server. The chat needs to be acceptable for all those using it, and this rule makes it so.

Consequences
This one can be dealt with by the whole spectrum, from warnings to mutes and even bans; it depends on the offence and the judgment of the mods.

5. Do not island farm.

Don't start new islands just to take all the resources.

Sometimes you need to restart your island, or you just want a fresh start. When you start a new island, or restart your island, your inventory is cleared, this is for a reason.

Definition: Island farming is the act of creating a new island, taking all or any of the resources (starter chest items, wood, dirt, sand) and then "hiding" them with a friend, alt or using an ender chest so you can create another new island or join your friend's coop. Whether selling these items or using them yourself, doing this is against the rules.

To help stop this there is "cool down" period when creating new island so that you cannot immediately create a new one. As well, many of the starter items are illegal to trade.

Why is it against the rules?
There are a few reasons that this is against the rules. Replacing an island size area of chunks would likely be hard on the server, and therefore, probably creates some lag. That's not something we want happening constantly. As well, it makes getting those items very easy as they're just spawned in and you don't have to work for them. This is especially dangerous in an economy server, as a flood of these easy to get, spawned in items, would make their worth bottom out and severely damage the economy. Remember, even if you were to just use the items, those are items you likely would buy without the option of getting them for free.

Consequences
Island farming is typically dealt with by temp bans and bans.

6. Do not trade, illegal to trade items.

Do not exchange these items.

Illegal to Trade Items
- Dirt
- Sand, Sandstone (including Smooth Sandstone, Chiseled Sandstone, Sandstone stairs), TNT, Glass (including Stained Glass, Glass Panes, Stained Glass Panes)
- Red Sand
- Buckets (including buckets of lava / water / milk)
- Podzol
- renamed items that are named after other items (ex. a stick named "Diamond")
- illegitimately gotten items
- mod or steve heads

There are some items which can be confusing. The following items are in fact, legal to trade.

Legal to Trade
- Grass blocks
- Glass Bottle (including Empty Bottle, Bottle of Water, Potions)
- Soul Sand
- Obsidian
- Items with natural enchants (even if done with /enchant)
- Renamed items that are NOT named after other items (ex. a stick named "Walking Stick")

Definition: Trading is actually a general term that's used to describe the item going from one player to another. A little more clear; do not sell, buy, trade, auction, bid on, give or accept any of the illegal to trade items. These items are all perfectly legal to own as long as they do not transfer from one player to another.

If you need dirt, you have to get Grass blocks. If you need a bucket, you need to get 3 iron ingots, and then craft one. If you need lava (since you cannot get a bucket of lava), you get obsidian (place and right click for lava).

Why is it against the rules?
Currently sand, red sand are only obtainable when first starting an island so getting mass quantities at this point can only be done through illegal island farming.
Dirt and buckets can also be gotten through island farming, as well are highly sought after items that cannot be "uncrafted" (dirt cannot at this time be returned to grass) and so keeping them from being traded helps keep their counter parts (grass and iron), valuable, which is good for the economy.
Items that are named after other items can be used to scam.

Consequences
Illegal trading usually results in a temp ban, or ban.

Notes

When starting a new island or joining a co-op, you are not allowed to bring any of the illegal items with you. Leaving them with a friend or alt is still considered illegal trading.

These rules do not apply to members of the same co-op while on their co-op island. It is perfectly legal for buckets, dirt, and all the rest to change hands between members of the co-op through chests on the island. This is because all items are shared in co-ops.

7. Do not scam.

Do not allow someone to hold up their end of the deal, while not holding up your end.

Definition: Scamming is when you make a deal with someone and do not fully hold up your end of the deal. Promising to give something or pay someone who does something for you, or gives you / pays you in return then, not giving or paying them exactly what you said that you would.

Ex. Telling someone you will pay them 100 skybucks for a stack of oak logs, then after they have tossed you the logs, paying them nothing, or less than 100 skybucks. OR Telling someone you will trade them a birch sapling for a spruce sapling and then either not giving them a sapling in return, or giving them an oak sapling instead.

Beware of CLag when trading items! This will help to avoid trading confusions.

Why is it against the rules?
Scamming makes people nervous of trading which may not destroy the economy, but can hurt it a bit since trading items for items is part of it, and not everyone wants to have a shop. As well, it just ruins people's fun.

Consequences
Warnings to bans will be used to deal with this depending on evidence and severity.

Warning!

Getting ripped off is not the same as being scammed. If someone says they will pay you 100 skybucks for a diamond that's worth much more than that, and you accept, and the deal goes through with them receiving the diamond and you receiving 100 skybucks, which was on you. It's your responsibility to know the approximate worth of the item and to make a deal you're comfortable with.

8. Do not "dupe" items or exploit a glitch.

This one falls under common sense, but I'll spell it out clearly here anyway. Exploiting a glitch is against the rules.

Definition: Dupe is short for duplicating, which is usually done through a glitch. If you find a glitch that allows you to duplicate an item (getting two or more from one, without using any materials) using this glitch to get the items to use or sell is exploiting the glitch.

Finding a glitch will not get you in trouble, exploiting a glitch will. If you have found a glitch, do not tell any other players about it. As soon as you can, tell a mod about the glitch you have found and hand over any duped items you created. They may ask you to explain the glitch more and even show them how you did it. As long as you fully cooperate there shouldn't be any trouble for you.

Building or having a duping machine (a redstone device that uses a glitch to create more items without material), even if not used, is against the rules. Obsidian generators are NOT considered duping machines (as they do use material), and are perfectly legal.

Nether portals are disabled on the server, therefore, building or being in possession of a working one is strictly against the rules.

Why is it against the rules?
This should be pretty obvious, but it gives you an unfair advantage over other players. Also, it creates items that are essentially spawned in, which can be very dangerous for the economy, especially if the item is a rare one.

Consequences
Exploiting a glitch will result in a ban.

Note:
It's being said that you can "dupe" books. This is perfectly legal if done properly as putting a written book in a crafting table with a book & quill will copy the book. As it is a crafting recipe from mojang, it's not a glitch and therefore perfectly fine to do.

9. Do not kill other players.

There is no PVP on the server, so there is never an acceptable time to kill other players.

Definition: Killing another player is being the direct cause of their in-game death. This is typically done while they are on your island, using lava or flint & steel to light them on fire, removing the block beneath their feet so they fall into the void or rarely, using sand to suffocate them or water to drown them.

Why is it against the rules?
There's no PVP on the server, so there is no reason to kill anyone. If it were allowed it could be used to steal from other players, or to bully a player. If someone is on your island and you don't want them to be there, you can ask them to leave and if they refuse, report them to a mod. If someone is griefing, looting or breaking other rules on your island, take screenshots and report them.

Consequences
Typically a temp-ban or a ban.

10. Do not AFK auto farm.

You get kicked from the server if AFK longer than 15 mins, do not try to get around it to auto farm while AFK.

An auto farm is one that runs automatically without the player doing anything, typically done with redstone. AFK stands for "away from keyboard".

Definition: AFK auto farming is when a player leaves their computer (or does something other than play minecraft) while being near their or someone else's auto farm so it will continue to run without them being there.

You can AFK at an auto farm if it is for less than 15 minutes. Do not use an AFK pool.

As long as you are not AFK, auto farms are legal to use. If you are active in chat, or doing something in game close to your farm (rearranging chests for example), then using an auto farm is fine.

Why is it against the rules?
Letting auto farms with redstone run for long periods of time can create a lot of lag on the server. As well, it allows people to make money too easily and can be very hard on the economy.

Consequences
This is typically dealt with by a kick, though if you continue to attempt to avoid this rule, more harsh punishments may be given.

11. Do not use an inappropriate skin.

Pretty self-explanatory, use common sense.

A skin is what the pattern on your mc character is called. You can upload a custom skin on the mc website.

Definition: Any skin that is not appropriate for a small child to see is not appropriate on the server. Covering it with armor is simply not good enough; it's still against the rules. Typically this refers to nudity, but use common sense when choosing a skin.

If you are unsure about whether or not your skin is appropriate, ask a mod to come to your island to see it and have a backup ready in case it's not appropriate.

Why is it against the rules?
There are children on this server and people who may just be offended by it. There's no need to have an inappropriate skin when there's plenty of pre-made appropriate ones and the ability to make your own. The many outweigh the one and the importance of everyone being able to feel comfortable while playing out weighs your need to express yourself in such a vulgar way.

Consequences
Typically a temp ban that lasts until the skin has been changed.

12. If you have /nick, do not abuse it.

Don't have offensive language in your nick, and don't use it to pretend to be someone else.

/nick is a command that allows you to change your visible name in chat. If you want to see someone's username do "/realname (nick name)". The /nick command is only available to donors of rank Highroller and Overlord, so this rule really only applies to them.

Definition: Nick abuse is using the /nick command inappropriately. This most often involves impersonating someone (most offensive being impersonating a mod or someone famous), or having offensive language in your nick such as swears or racial slurs.

Why is it against the rules?
You are not allowed to use offensive language in chat; you're not allowed to have it in your nick either. Impersonating a mod is against the rules for the obvious reasons that you could trick people into giving you information that you shouldn't have or to damage the mods reputation. Impersonating someone famous often causes a lot of spam, and when impersonating anyone, you simply don't have the right to their identity.

Consequences
Depending on how you are nick abusing could result in anything from a warning to a ban.

13. Only use acceptable hacks and mods.

If you don't know what a hacked client is, then you're just fine. If you use a hacked client, check the above list and make sure that you're only using legal hacks.

Definition: A hacked client is one that has been modified to change gameplay in some way or another. They are actually allowed on skyblock, but only certain ones. Assume that any hack that will allow you to get around world guard or get donor perks is not allowed.

Why is it against the rules?
The hacks that are against the rules would allow for other rules to be broken more easily, or for donor perks to be obtained without donating (thus hurting the server).

Consequences
If you are caught using illegal hacks, you will likely be banned.

Be respectful and use common sense.

Not really officially part of the rules, just some of my own notes on using common sense...

- If you're angry or upset, you may need to step back and take some time away from the game. You're not likely to make good choices in that mindset.

- Do not purposefully get into fights, or try to say something to provoke someone.

- When arguing with someone, take it to pm and do not attack them personally as it never turns out well and only hurts feelings.

- Respect everyone. If you don't like a specific person and you always seem to get into fights, try ignoring them.

- Don't be rude. If you wouldn't want it said to you, or to someone you care about, don't say it to someone else.

- Be appropriate, and if someone seems uncomfortable and tries to change the topic, change it.

- Whether or not it's in the rules, if a mod asks you to do something or stop doing something, and it makes sense, just do it. If it doesn't make sense, msg the mod to discuss it, don't drag it through global.

- If something feels wrong or you think it should be against the rules, it probably is.

- If you broke a rule and got into trouble, it's your own fault. Do not blame others for your actions; it's only going to make things worse.

- Yes, they will catch if you break the rules. No, you're not the exception and no, you aren't guaranteed to be unbanned when you get caught.

If you have any questions on the rules you can always ask a mod. I'm sure they would all agree with me that they would rather take the time to explain, and prevent the crime in the first place than deal with you in an appeal afterwards. If there is no mod online, best not to do whatever it is until you've talked to one, or you can try asking on the forums.
