I mean sometimes it's a good visual to have ratings. But in the past I remember someone made a suggestion I didn't like but I offered an alternative idea and cyp actually acknowledged it. I mean if you read artificialty's thread he explained how to judge and app. For cyp to sticky it he must wish for people to leave proper supportive messages as opposed to ratings
That's the problem though. People shouldn't just say 'Support' on an application. If I were judging an application I would not take into account all the 'Support' posts as they aren't giving any helpful feedback about the applicant. Maybe adding these ratings will clean up some applications more by eliminating all of these types of posts. If what you are describing as kind of a side bar on applications with just the support and no support icons along with the number of them and who supports and doesn't support, I don't see why not.
Yep, exactly my point. It looks something like this: Sorry for the half-assed censoring, but this is what it looks like on the title page. When I view applications on this website, ALL of the replies are well thought-out and constructive. Sure there aren't as many replies, but it's so much more effective that way because quality over quantity, right?
I think I'm gonna change my idea from support to no support. Just looking at that makes me realize that, if you're going to judge an applicant's application, people will more than likely just read over the ones that do not have support.
Hmm...if anything, I thought the flaw would be that people would read applications with a lot of support instead of the ones without. Nonetheless, that shouldn't matter. If you're going to judge an applicant, you shouldn't be focusing on the rating to determine whether or not you're going to click open the thread. Thanks for the feedback, though. Gives me more to think about.
