Let's set one thing straight, my ign sucks.
I've decided to change my name to Inpecular, but not yet.

Will I need to do anything on the servers before I change my name?

Make sure any /lockette chest are removed because your old name will still be on there and you won't be able to open them.

 

Make sure you do as Tortoise said and remove locks from your chests. If you miss any chests or forget, a full moderator or super moderator can unlock them for you.

If you have a rank, it will transfer to your new name (as well as your island and everything else).
