my in game username is kiley526 and I greifed somebody s world I took a jungle sapling and a 64 of wood from a chest this is my first time being banned and I really like this server.I just thought of a really good idea for my skyblock.

i admit I did grief but I learned a lesson from it so...... most people are not honest but im being honest

 

Alrighty sorry about that, I have been kinda busy doing other things IRL.

Anyway, I had a player ask me for a grief check. I obviously did my job and checked the grief out and found YOUR name on the logs, can you explain why you did it?

 

This is called looting, looting and griefing are two different offences although they can come under the same thing.

Rule 1: No griefing!
Offence Level: High
This is the number rule of every single server. Unfamiliar with the term, like spellcheck is? Griefing is the changing of one's property that you have no rights to. Still not get it? Griefing is where you take/place/move blocks that are not your own or you do not have permission to. Why have it illegal? Say you made an epic beacon tower using 3 hundred diamond blocks. If someone steals all that, wouldn't that seem illegal? Griefing can also be considered the gaming term for stealing.

What happens if you get caught? You get banned, and there is a pretty low chance of getting unbanned on the second offence, but it is a tiny bit easier on the first offence. Please note, when you grief, "logs" are made, making it so they know what was taken/placed, who did it, and a way to revert it. If griefing is reported close to when it happened, there is a pretty good chance a rollback can be done.

Looting also falls in this category, since you are taking/placing blocks in a chest that do not belong to you. Even if there is one piece of cobblestone, you can still get banned, do not take ANYTHING that you have no rights to.

You did not get banned from stealing from a chest, you got banned for breaking blocks that belongs to another player

 

I guess I did it because on a server I got griefed and I was mad and I stole something.

 

also what does revert mean

 

Revert means a way to fix it back to it's normal state. A way we do that is a rollback, a Super Moderator uses a command to roll back that grief that you or another player has done.

Do you mean on this server? Because if you're talking about another server it doesn't matter about your ban appeal on this server

 

yes skyblock.net I got well....um I traded and they stole my stuff and I never got it back

 

Why didn't you tell a moderator?

 

I Never knew too until when someone told me too

 

I'm gonna give you another chance, don't let this happen again and I don't want to see your name in the ban appeals for a second time
