hey i was just curious as to why the report section for server is private. why is it not public information?

 

To keep people from commenting on reports that do not involve them, and seeing moderator information

 

You can still view the resolved & locked reports in the Reports Archive section.

 

I believe it is to stop random players just commenting on all of the reports, but I'm not one hundred percent sure.

You can still view archived reports once they've been dealt with though

 

It was done with both the appeals & reports. Players won't be tempbanned on the forums for posting in reports and/or appeals that they are not related to anymore.
