stop allowing moderators or super mods to deal with staff reports. we now have staff managers to deal with them lol ty Pingu
Regular moderators aren't allowed to deal with staff reports. Having SMods and managers handling them is a sufficient way of handling them, and from what I'm seeing, they're being handled quite well. No support.
My status on this thread is Neutral, leaning towards support. Here are my reasons why; (I have been doing some research on this) 1) Shortage of Staff Managers. Currently we have 2 staff managers. Fungamer333 & Kerahna. In most reports you have to wait several weeks for a reply. 2) Biased S-Mods? I'm pretty sure that most people are comfortable with the choice of the Staff Managers, that they show no sympathy towards one player to another, and some players think that some of the current/past Super-Mods have been biased, not given the player a chance, and closing reports on themselves.
As Talia said, full moderators cannot deal with staff reports. Usually, not all the time, super mods deal with staff reports that doesn't even take a staff manager to handle. Staff mangers deal with staff reports that doesn't need Cypriot involved. When it's serious, then Cypriot is involved. No support.
As others have said, full moderatots cannot resolve staff reports. There used to be a rule (I think?) that Cyp had to sign off on a staff report so that he knew what was going on with his team/decide appropriate punishment. I've heard the amount of false reporting has increased since I was last mod (rip amnesty), but as I personally haven't filed a staff report/can see the report section, it's impossible for me to say whether or not this is the case. Neutral?
No support. Regular moderators do not deal with them anyway, super moderators and staff managers is an efficient system, Cyp involved if necessary.
No - sometimes there are points that managers don't have or forget - we are all human. We can't handle them anyway (general mods).
Well, thank you for that. I was just posting based on looking at the reports/ban appeals with them in it.
