Simply sitting on my island building a small staircase to one of my platforms when out of nowhere I am kicked off the server. I try to log back in and it says I am banned... Has this happened to anyone else? I never see a mod and then all of a sudden the only time I ever see a mod in chat... I get banned. Note I never typed anything in chat or visited anyone else. I was simply on my island doing my own thing and minding my own business.
Skyblock.net I guess. I am simply just a little confused as to how I got banned out of nowhere when I have never really done anything... Also I am not to good with mountain standard time but it reads that I will be unbanned 6/6/15 00:51:40 MST Reason for banning: "The ban hammer has spoken." I am more confused than angry at this point.
It was a temp-ban, most likely console. It wasn't by a mod, it was the server itself. All you can do is really wait it out. It's only a 30 minute temp-ban.
That is very strange... Is there a reason that it does that or is it simply a "You got unlucky and must deal with it." sort of thing?
The Console sometimes thinks someone is fly hacking when the server has a lag spike or the player is lagging when falling or not on a full block, in which it tempbans them for 30 minutes.
Yeah someone told me about this problem yesterday, and they were on a slab. It tends to be when you're standing on a 1/2 block for a long period of time. Be safe, and stay informed
Whenever I am in a hacked client (with no illegal things toggled) and I fall in to the void I get temp-banned for 30 minutes, it's happened quite a lot. ;p
Whether console thinks you are hacking is dependent if you have /fly. Usually when you have that command on, and hacks, console will not ban you. For the rest of the server without that command, it is important when experiencing lag not to build, go near half slabs if they are not level with the top of full blocks and do not break blocks from under you or build using shift over the void to be safe.
