    Try and keep the trapdoor on this time.... I haven't tested it without the trapdoor, but with the trapdoor, it seems logical.

    Its the same thing. You just attach the trapdoor on to the side of the spawner, anvil, (shift-click so you don't open the anvil) and use the sign....

    Attach a trapdoor to the beacon, then use the sign and type [Private] on the first line. The second line will show your name automatically. :)
