Now I'm not sure if this is possible but what about chat-box for people who want to talk here on the forums but not in a thread per say. I know Crew was looking into other chat-rooms for the servers but I'd like to see a chat-box on here first. But it's just a idea I had, so if you disagree with me...well that's your thoughts on it.

 

its a good idea but i can see it turn sour really fast by people spamming ban appels.

 

They escalate quickly; often full of advertisers and spam.

 

Like i've said before the idea of having something like that would be nice but it would be full of spam/advertisments. Not unless someone that know's how to put up a spam /advertisment guard for a live chatroom on the forums then I could see this idea have more of a chance to happen.

 

Chat mods...?

 

that could work but then that would require noobcrew to get a couple more people too monitor the chat online chat room then.

 

I've seen it before. I mean it could also be a test for people wanting to be a mod on the server.

 

How would that work out a player warning another player not to abuse a chat systen can only do so much unless they have the ability to mute the person from chat or to have the person removed from chat for a period of time. I can see this as a good idea as well as a bad idea. It's a good idea for player's getting the chance to practice monitoring the chat system as well as it will also give them some hands on experience for them to use a reference in their mod applacation. however I can see this a bad idea as well. The reaon I can see this as a bad idea aswell is cause then players will just abuse their ability as a temp mod on the chatroom and will kick/ban/mute players they don't get along with/like. I know it's a little negative but the buttom line is if this is going to be a trial period for a mod in training they will need to add another sub forum to the mod applacation part on the forums.

 

Users should have a to wait one week after registering on the forums to be able to use the chatbox.

 

That wont stop the chat room from becoming full of spamm/advertisement. The simpliest solution is too just have a couple moderators monitor the chatroom if this ever gets accepted.
