Look, it's an unintentional bias that will never be ridden of.
If a moderator knows that donor/skygod or even greenie, they know that they're joking. All we do is simply warn them, but if they're not joking we do more than that. I mean, it's pretty easy to tell if someone's joking or not.

If I don't know a greenie and they say something jokingly, I just warn them. If it's more than that, then I'll punish according to the level of language. Same thing with every other person on the server.

My nickname is Phildo on .net and yes, it sounds like what you're thinking of
:t I push mod's limits alot of the time, and I've gotten countless mutes/kicks for my provocative statements. It is true that some mods are biased towards us donors, but there are also those that kick you instantly. I guess if you get to know the mods and they get to know you more on a personal level, they become more lenient towards what you say. I dont think this will change in the near future, but when a Donor says something non g-rated, wait a minute then check that person with \seen. Its highly likely that that person was kicked and therefore his time online will have reset. Also, something slightly over g-rated isnt really ban worthy ;)

Eh, some mods might but that's not my business. If anything I punish donors more because they're easier to spot when they spam, haha.
Anyway there are so many of these 'mods are unfair ;(' threads. They're not anything new, so they're kinda pointless imo.

This is not something to complain about.
Every time a skygod+ or any donator say anything non G-Rated, they WILL get muted/warned/kicked/banned.
One example would be the fight we had a couple days back between two donor100s.
One of them got kicked, then the other was banned for around a week.
There is always consequences, but sometimes it depends on the moderator that is on.

Moderators are humans, not robots, they can't see every single detail of chat. Note that they also have something to do in real life, probably making food, or eating.

If you do think this isn't fair treatment, then report them. That will get them their punishment for sure.
There is currently a bit of bias going on, according to some people, but that will not affect the state of the game, I assure you.

This is a common example of a stereotype, just because they come back, doesn't mean they weren't punished.
And the commonly targeted people are donators, "Donors /jumping through walls griefing me! Remove command!, Donors spamming chat and not getting punishment!, Donors flying in my island, griefing things!" and such. Those are just examples, and may not be true in the community, but I've seen around two of those.

So please, if you think there are some unfair treatment, it's either the mod is just afk, or just didn't capture the message. Just screenshot what you see, and report it. It's easier than making a complaint.

Side note: Don't be afraid of any donators. If you report them, you're not going to get in trouble. If they try to get you banned for nothing, it won't have any effect. Report what you think is wrong.

Oh believe me. I used to be the most popular skygod on the server and I always got kicked. Mods are picky as f***ing s***. They do take action. It's just, it may not seem like it at all. Which I geuss is understandable. Like it's not like your going to say in chat if your a mod " OH HEY GUYS I JUST BANNED SOME POOR MOTHERf***ER BECAUSE HE GRIEFED THIS POOR GREANBEAN! :)) "
I personally don't think its an issue. But it is my opinion.

Its not always that this happens.. I see many skygods/donors get kicked/tempbanned/banned/muted due to they're behavior. Sometimes people arn't really serious about what they say, so some Mods don't really count it as an offence, (Except swearing etc.).. They do get warnings, and so do green/default players, but if they push wayyyy over the limits, actions will be taken.

I understand I'm new and all, but if I may just have a quick say in this.

Based on what I've seen, kicks, mutes, and bans are unseen by players. We don't even know half the things going on in their world. And as said by multiple staff members, their chat goes a lot faster. I've been in their shoes, so I somewhat understand the situation. At times, a moderator may be getting spammed questions, and they're (hopefully) trying their best to respond to those questions, and at times, things slip. Maybe a quick bad word was stated, and perhaps missed. Maybe chat is just being pure chaos for them. We don't know any of that.

However, we all have our own perspectives.

Donors: A simple player with a nametag.
Regular Players; Just one of the ordinary.
Staff: A player with a nametag, as well as power to take action.

As you can see, we all have one thing in common. .It doesn't make sense for some of us to point fingers due to these minor differences. We're all just players. That meaning, we all make mistakes. Staff have no reason to hesitate when a player is breaking a rule, and as far as I've seen, they're not hesitating. And just because one word was allowed, doesn't mean we should point it out, and start yelling "This staff member does nothing". If I may speak of my personal experiences, I'd be monitoring chat, and suddenly I receive 5 messages at once. And if you've noticed, there's not many staff on at the same time. So, most questions will be flooded towards one member, and if you've spoken to multiple people at once, you know the feeling. This along with watching over a chat with many speaking, may allow a few things to slip. Obviously, a staff member should take action, when those things get chaos. But half the time we don't know what's occurring in the chat of a staff member.

    A message to players:

Who cares if you report a donor? It's doing the right thing, not living your life in fear of someone who may ruin your reputation. Also, popularity shouldn't matter. We're all players, we do our own thing. There's no king or queen of the server, or someone better than someone. It's just a bunch of people with unique names, and different nametags. If someone's doing the wrong thing, you should make sure they get what is deserved. It doesn't matter if they're going to be like "Wow, how could you report me". In the end, would you want someone cursing their head off, publicly in chat, with no care felt at all? Punishments are needed, or people will never learn. Don't be afraid of reporting someone, just because they have a different nametag.

This is just my opinion in this "debate" or whatever we'd like to call it

I push mods too, and then true (you shouldn't lie..), be a smartass towards them if they do any kind of wrong punishment. It's my way of finding out if new mods are good mods. Two stages that are, action taken and action in arguments. As for older mods, it's a really sad different story. They know they won't get demoted and, I'm certain many people know this person, talk a lot about "booty"s etc. or sometimes worse, which is totally un G-rated. You can talk like that on the forums, since there are hardly any little kids or on teamspeak (I've heard that MANY mods swear) but not on the server!! Sometimes it goes over the "booty" phrase. And sometimes I see 3 or more mods on, some donor says something, sometimes the freaking mods respond laughing, sometimes they insta mute, but most of the time nothing happens.

Mods are biased, and I think old(er) mods should be just as afraid of being demoted as young ones.

P.S I'm not trying to demote mods, I'm just putting them through a test (personal and, if really bad, for cyp)

So far superb mods were (this means they were AMAZINGly fair, not in all situations, but in so many to recieve this)
