    This is why you either
a: Don't take these things to school.
    or
b: keep it on you at all times like your life depended on it.

    Learn from your mistakes bud.

I've never lost an electronic device at school.
Just keep it zipped up in your bag and if it's a phone, put it in your pocket and protect it.
Also, whoever stole it is a loser, and should be punished, but how can you even be sure it didn't fall out ages before you checked?

Anyways, something of value was stolen, that is a crime

You don't have to do that either. If you know what to say, words hurt more.

Eh, I don't like to establish that kind of reputation for myself. I cannot stand physical violence, as there are better ways to release that anger.

First of all, the person who stole it confessed today, and my baby iPod Touch is safe in my little pocket atm. The person who stole it was a girl named Rachael (not her real name). she saw me enter the password and I let her use it. then when her stop came, she walked out of the bus with it on purpose. Yes, the sheriffs were in fact involved, but she was too young to prosecuted. She is being punished at school and/or at home. I am just glad that my iPod is here now. AND MY CRUSH IS RELATED TO HER! we now have assigned seats and that family has to sit in the front. and I'm in the fricken back with the bus drivers daughter and a good friend. I wish the best for--- Holy frick I'm sweating... XD. anyways, I wish the best of luck to Rachael.;)

So much drama. I'm betting middle school, most likely 6th grade.

There's no way this guy/girl is getting jail time. If you want legal actions and conform it was them they'd most likely get told to give it back with a slap on the wrist and maybe a fine. You only really go to juvy if you're a repeat offender usually for violent cases.
