There's no other block that items in minecraft that can pick up items, and move them between blocks. Only other thing that can move items are pistons, and water streams. So machines are pretty much disabled.
Water streams can be used to collect the items in one central location, and droppers can be used to dump items into containers...
I feel both good and bad about this. Being the fact that my cobble/stone gens, cacti farm, and skeleton farm are now disabled (as well as a donation chest) it kinda sucks. You know the time where you don't like advancements, but then use em and can't go back? That's me right now. I knew I should have stayed simple...
Game isn't worth playing, without hoppers. I'm sorry I sunk so much money in as a donor. And there was certainly no point of getting that iron kit. I don't care about any dup glitch, it wasn't hurting me. We'll see what hurts the server owners worse, that dup glitch, or people leaving because they can't automate things. Moving on to a different server. Will check back, from time to time, to see if they've been re-enabled.
One person ruins it for the rest, that is part of life. I cant make you "un-leave", if that was a correct saying, but this wasn't because of the majority, but because of the minority. Sorry you have to go. Just take this little tid bit with you.
If we left it enabled for everyone to dupe, what is the point in having an automated farm? Cya tomorrow.
The main point of this thread was to inform you that there is not much that the staff can do at this point; read it again, and you'll notice it says "Mojang cannot fix this issue." Mojang is all of minecraft. Moving to another server would be pointless because they would have the same problem. Also, you chose to donate for /kit iron. Actually, you didn't even donate to get anything, but you rather donated to further benefit the server. Read carefully before you post something like that.
my initial thought was- i think its safe to say... if it takes that long, who would really spend the time or even give a shread of a poop? BUT, its better safe than anything getting duplicated, i already can see a few ideas that would crash the economy, so hoppers are better left disabled. if you dont get the "idea" just look at your best item(s). and as others said, guy, you donate to benefit the server. the fact that you get anything back, is purely a token of appreciation from the server that DOES NOT have to be given to you, and can be taken away if need be. off topic but that makes charge backs stupid. chargbacking a donation is just wrong. and not sure if thats covered by banks as a reason... but hell, they dont exactly care. still wrong that your taking back a donation though. if you dissagree- just think of donating to...goodwill, or a charity. and compare it to donating to a server. hope you feel good (just using "your" as a general term, not aimed at anyone)
I like that hoppers are disabled on .Org and I'm pretty happy cyp and crew made that choice. Pumpkin farms were a huge issue on the old .Org, It was no longer a challenge to get money. People made a pumpkin auto farm that was huge and set a warp so people would afk there and buy the pumpkins to sell back to warp shop for more money. Seriously the owner of that auto farm legit did nothing to earn it just sat back and watched as people bought pumpkins and give him money. Do you know what the owners of that auto farm did with their money.. Bought more stuff to make bigger auto farms and continue to get richer and richer. I'm pretty happy with .Orgs industry right now people are finding creative ways to make money without hoppers. x)
I have to agree with AmazingGraceGirl. It makes things more of a challenge. Yes it ruined a whole bunch of ideas, and things that I had on net, but I am grateful for it.
Rip all island plans, ever. Server is still fine though, I will shed a small tear for the death of hoppers xD
Hoppers will definitely be missed by me, but that leads to new ideas. Such as, how am I going to move these items on the ground? Lol I've just resorted to ice for my mob gen which actually does the job perfectly!
Okay, Mojang will more than likely fix the issue, just as they did with virtually every other bug that they found. If they don't fix it, then... ;-;

but er ah.... them people with killaura sitting in spawners.... its like the old org, with SLIGHTLY less automation
Nocheat does nothing against killaura. It mainly kicks you for jumping, walking on halfslabs, sending people money, falling in water, falling out of the world .. etc :/ It DID stop people from flying, but at the expense of normal players leaving because of lag, getting kicked etc. imo, not worth it
