If you've heard of T-CAP, it's a test that counts for 10% of your final grade, it's specifically for the state of Tennessee, and is taken by grades 3rd-9th. This weekend we have to do studying on this website Leading Academic Provider of Standards-Based Online Learning Solutions | Study Island on that website we have to do 90 minutes for ELA and 90 Minutes for Math of studying. Everyone on my bus right now seems to have the urge to destroy anything they see. I mean it great they want us to make it to the next level, but last year my teacher barely taught us, but we passed. It shows they don't believe in us, or have a clue we also have a life and school is not the only thing to worry about. It's not only the kids who don't study, they want every student in the school, all 700 something to get on, study, or else we get Saturday school and Detention. This means if you get on Study Island already for more than 2 hours, Enjoy!

At your age school should be your top priority. Work hard, get good grades, and do well in school. That's the start to becoming successful in life.

Okay, 2 hours of studying is nothing. I've been up all night many times in the past studying for exams running off of nothing but iced coffees. I have 3 STAAR tests next week (Texas 3rd-8th grade Final/EOC exam equivalent) and they're going to require more time studying than 2 hours each. I may not be happy about it, but I still need to do it because I need to get into freshman year. I suck it up like everyone else.

Despite this, I must say I don't agree with getting detention over not studying. Failure should be punishment enough.

3 hours is for the 8th graders, but for someone young like me, 3 hours will crack your head open. 1 hr is fine.

That explains why to you it was not much, but for a 5th grader that's to much

That won't kill you. You guys have higher standards than I did when I was in elementary school, which is not a bad thing.

We've got it easy over in England then. Year 9 (idk what grade but I'm 14) and we aren't forced to study or revise at all.

I never studied for New York State Tests or SLOs in 3rd-8th grade and I passed them all with 80's+ except one lmao. Except I probably have to study for my finals this year since my grades need a boost.
