    Also, if you're not worried about losing your island because you know your coop leader will add you back, don't be stupid like I was and forget to remove your lockettes before changing your name.

    From what I've seen today, your island doesn't get wiped, it remains, but under your old name ... e.g. Player "Potato" changes name to "Banana" - when Banana logs in, their island remains at the same coordinates, but is protected as Potato's island, and doing /home will say you don't have an island - it basically treats you as an entirely new player! This makes sense with how donor status is also reset.

    Because of the 30 day cooldown, you also can't just change your name back immediately to return to your island, so I don't know how people who've already gone ahead and changed their names will be returned to their islands :/ unless Cyp intervenes personally and edits protections using WorldGuard commands (unlikely), I imagine the only way to get your island back again is to wait 30 days then change your name back ... or hope for a fix. I don't know by the way, just guessing!

    Also -
    I'm pretty sure there is no way to make a co-op the new leader of an island. Therefore you can't pass island ownership over to a co-op or friend then rejoin your island :(

    Pops changed his username and lost his rank on org. Since rank is connected to username, it goes too when you change your name...

    Not sure. Someone mentioned above that ranks stay on net, all I know is that he lost his rank on org. :eek:

    Technically they did. New EULA says no donor stuffs stuff.

    Also, even if you're sure that your coop leader won't change their name and will re-add you, make sure to break lockettes before hand, or you won't be able to get into your chests. >.>
