Thanks for understanding. A lot of times org is mod-less and when sometimes when mods are on things still do not change.
To answer your original question is difficult. Since everyone has a different opinion of what constitutes mod abuse, and really it comes down, within reason, to the moderator who uses their perms, and their ability to defend it among their peers. This is the same test that other professionals such as police and doctors have to undergo: given the same situation, would someone given their level of experience and training act in a similar way. But as I've said before, there is absolutely no room for argument with mods in chat. I say again: zero tolerance for argument in game chat. Reason? There simply isn't enough mods to spend time arguing with players if every player decided to question every statement made by mods. Do so in a PM on the forums, do so in the reports section. But don't do so in game. And make sure to screenshot everything. Screenshot screenshot screenshot. If there are no screenshots then nothing took place. It doesn't matter that 100 players "saw" it, it doesn't count for as much as a few screenshots. If you wish to argue with mods in game, then that's the quickest and surest way to head towards a mute or ban.
By which definition none of these cases would stick, because the rules are very rarely broken by moderators.
I warned you and the whole global chat many times to stop didn't I? And did you hesitate to stop? no. As it continued I muted you. (Even after several warnings said in chat, you continued, thats why the mute was not abuse...)
I don't really mean to sound offensive, but whether mods were right or wrong, with was a mute and not a ban. I don't really see why this thing has to get blown so out of proportion
Id honestly say it's abuse. however the only opinions that matter are staff opinions, so there's not point in me explaining if the staff will just be 10 year old and complain till they get there way.
Opinions that are presented in a mature respectful way are always welcome even if they differ from that of staff members.
Quite a differing topic. It really depends on the circumstances on what actions are taken, to be honest.
It depends on the situation, there's many ways that power can be abused. Though I'm not going to make a huge list of what.
Lol, TS mods are the worst. They all think they can do whatever they want, and who can be bothered getting proof. I was tempbanned for 15 mins(on TS) by some guy called Shane who I and others had no idea who he was for having a nickname that wasn't even offensive. On top of that, when I asked some people who he was, another mod moves them all into the mod channel so I cannot join. As for in game, I have a video of a mod placing fire on my island and putting private signs on my door ect, and then tping people to my island.. They forced tped there in the first place too. During the video, the audio shows a ts mod having a go at me for recording mod abuse. Seems legit. The mods here are terrible; even mineverse has better control over their mods. I think .net needs a ScoFu.
