Hi,

Like me, you may have noticed that things on Skyblock are broken.

One of those things is logblock. It needs to be fixed. It won't get fixed, but it should.

Since people's block breaks don't get logged, there is no recourse when you get griefed. Also, there's still no recourse when you get griefed 3 times with no logs. That's super duper fun.

Suggestion #1: Fix Logblock

From what I've heard, the problem is a specific group of players that aren't logged, not everyone. This means that we're either running an outdated version of the plugin, or that our version has a corrupted file. All that should need to happen to actually fix this issue, is reinstall a clean and up to date version of the logblock plugin. Just like that, Logblock is fixed.

Suggestion #2: Give protected regions to the 50-100 regular players who have been here for a long time, who have spent hundreds of dollars on this server.

These people, myself included, have invested time and funds into this server. We are repaid with zero protection for any of our investment.

WorldGuard is already installed on the server. It is already used to protect places like Spawn, Mob, Skybase, and all the other warps. Notice how those don't get griefed?

Another 50-100 regions added to this server would have no affect on server performance. WorldGuard lag issues only arise when you are setting overlapping regions. (Source: me, when I was admin on another large server which used ridiculous numbers of worldguard regions with no issue)

Each island belonging to a long-standing donor who has invested time and money into this server is deserving of a region around their island so that they do not ever have to worry about being griefed again.

Will these things happen? Will Logblock actually be fixed after something like 6+ months of not actually working? Will the people who donate their own money to keep this server running ever actually have their builds protected?

Nope.

PS - If Cyp wants to do me a solid, I already have my corners for the region I want marked. Just like I did 6 months ago before I got griefed last time, after I requested a region after being griefed the first time. All it would take is a couple slaps of a wooden axe on the corners I have set, or whatever tool you may have changed it to, and a quick "/region define Wooz _Woozle_" and I wouldn't ever bug you about a thing ever again. You could even go shorthand and do "/rg define Wooz _Woozle" if you didn't feel like spelling out words fully.

 

For suggestion 2 I have no support.

 

I generally support all of this, if it's possible to do world guard. I agree that when you're spending a certain amount of money, it gets to a point where you feel like it's going nowhere. And, there's this issue with a full mod looting rares chests. What if they came and looted all of your rares? Even with lockette. It's a huge loss, and sooner or later the issue has to be addressed and sorted.

 

I dislike suggestion 2. No support for it.

 

For people who have their islands.... Slightly not at all slightly out of the limits... My island so to speak. Worldguard wouldn't be a good idea. Sure it would stop griefs, but it also would frustrate a lot of players who have their chests and buildings slightly outside their limits. Logblock, indeed does need to be fixed. However, I don't think there is much that we can do without the server being fully updated.

I really love the idea on suggestion 2, it's a great idea and I would happily pay to be honest.

 

1. Logblock is dinosaur plugin. It's like trying to get minecraft to work on a bad computer. Sometimes it will work sometimes it won't.
2. Lol good luck with that. I could see it for 400 donors, but they couldn't have coops, or ever reset their island.

I'm guessing you're saying that donor 50's or 100's and up should get their island protected. Well if this doesn't cause lag and bugs, I support.

 

There may be block protection on all islands soon.

 

i think suggestion 2 is somewhat valid i dont do forums so rate abuse me ppl. i thinks ppl who have spent good money and dedicate thier time to playing should get the island thing it may not seem fair but it actually is to the ones who have worked hard for the money and input time.
