... we need both sides. need to see what was said from both sides of this. otherwise its an endless circle. and... its a mute. this is my opinion on the whole topic --->
My opinion? You should have been muted if you continued to argue after a mod said stop. I do not like the term mod abuse. I get disrespected, I leave it alone unless it gets really bad. Saying a mod sucks or saying an opinion of a mod is not bad, but I feel should not be on the server. It would be helpful to know what you said chub. Because then we can actually see if you deserved said mute.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listen: I don't really want this thread turning into an argument as it's a decent case but will be locked if it turns into more of an argument than a report. It's sometimes hard to seperate yourself from an argument but I ask that until Cyp looks at this that you don't go overboard with it, simply state facts as they come and defend yourself if needed, keep in mind that doesn't mean you have to argue about whether or not somebody did something. Below are some facts I'm going to list that may be in assistance of the defense or the report. - Dew told Jelly to mute the player(Out of line, imo) - Jelly made his own decision to mute Flub, the reason he let it originally slip by was because it hadn't escalated and could be forgiven, but the argument was continued so he took action. - I could see myself from the chat that players were in fact bashing both the mods and Flub, so this was a pretty hectic moment. - There was a lot of chat spam and arguing, parts of somebody arguing could've been unseen and therefore only Flub was muted. - There was no actual abuse here, Jelly made his decision because he had to make one, whether or not that was the right decision will be decided but if not, it's a simple mistake and I'm sure it can be resolved rather easily. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This isn't as much about the mute as it is Dewmellon telling Jelly to mute me which was immediately executed.
It pretty much is... dew is a mod on net and that means that she is part of the mod team. the mod team is combined net and org. We generally respect each others opinions. Of course this is why I want to know the severity of your "crime" as this will see if jelly or dew was in the right/wrong.
Okay I do not have sufficient screenshots of the event. However, as you know, Dew is not a global smod. In my personal opinion it isn't her place to influence mods on other servers when she is not mod on org herself, even though she is part of the overall team.
And in my perspective big you guys were obviously making the mods annoyed. Even though dew isn't a mod on org she can still tell jelly what happen and is jellys decision if he wants to or not to trust her and he did because she had proof.
If you're no longer muted, then this issue is nonexistent, correct? You were unhappy with being muted. You are no longer muted. I see no problem here.
They disrespected you more than you disrespected them. You just held a argument with them and they started to disrespect you.
To anyone involved: Sorry if I have offended you, but this an issue that has been seen for a while know and myself, including several others, feel as if it needed to be unveiled. I do understand not all mods are the same, each with their own traits. However I feel as if this could be a step in the right direction of improving the server as a whole.
Thankyou. But also I agree today helped me understand org a bit better and really how different it is from net and I do really think that it's a good opportunity for mods to improve as well as players knowing the expectations. Always great to learn new things
