Alright guys I'm making this thread for those of you who are still blind to the fact that most of the people on the internet are who they say they are. You may think because they have a profile picture it's them, but chances are if they look like a model you've seen before it's not them. Anyways, getting to the point now, don't give people money they say they can pay you back. You're probably thinking now "This kid's a f***ing idiot if you loan people $ online!" These people can be "friend"s with you for a while, for me it was 7 months. But that doesn't matter to them. Also, they may ask for only $1 once, so you may just say ok. They'll give you a $1 back. So you'll trust them in the future. Anyways my point is keep this in your mind if this ever happens to you. I lost $50 today and I don't want you to lose $ either.

I trust one person on the internet. 7 months isn't a long enough period of time to actually depend and trust someone tbh.

Yeah, neither is a year. It all depends on different factors.

I never said that a year was long enough to have a strong bond of trust with another person. The difference between 7 months and a year is little to none, but okay.

I would never loan money to people online... really I don't trust people. There is literally one person I would loan money too on the internet.

Trust is a very rare thing to get from me.. I trust only 3 people. Not because of who they are, it's because they've had my back through thick and thin, but even that. If those people break your trust, then It's a lesson well learned.

I learned this awhile ago, but online is no different from in person, people will take what they can when they can that's human mentality. Must edit with a story.

Back awhile ago I met this guy was struggling, he could barely afford to feed himself let alone find somewhere to live and that he was going to get fired from poor hygiene, so he used to sleep at the local gym (which was open 24/h) used their showers slept in secrecy and acted like he was working out so he could stay. Eventually he started to sneak food and all that, anyway I know the gym owner and when I saw the guy I felt a little bad, so I talked to the gym owner as the guy was cleaning up and all that, and gyms generally have smell issues so people wouldn't complain and the gym was pretty open so the sweaty smell would fade off.

Anyway I got him a job, got him clothes and he was getting back on his feet, at the first sign of seeing positive money he bailed, aside from this he stole $5,000+ from the register and peoples bags, broke various equipment and generally f***ed up the place. When questioning him he naturally denied it all and said it was a misunderstanding, one day this guy came in who was pretty rich, for a small-ish town he was loaded, in fact he probably had half our total towns money. So generally when he pops in he gets VIP treatment blah blah, the guy stole his watch, which mind you was a $7,000 watch. The guy said not to pay him back but you have to, the guy took it and ran, apparently he's been doing this for awhile.

I took a huge risk, bought $37 beats pro from china using Western Union (which is totally unsafe)

Turns out, not a scam, but I haven't received my headphones yet, but the tracking number works.

No loans from me unless I have a signed contract lel

Oh...am I just a weird person for trusting just about everyone I meet on the internet? >.>. Rather, I just generally trust everyone I meet, unless they do something to me :t
