I feel quite a lot of controversy around this. All the ranks have been made easier to get, and I'm looking for an explanation as to why. Like this, down here has no title because I don't know how to add titles to spoilers. It has my personal opinions in it so ...beware?
It's because certain achievements on the forum don't require you to do anything. Eg ancient member, and general which automatically give you points for just having an account open for certain amounts of time. So basically it's easy to rank up that way
Who cares about trophy points and a "status" on the forums anyway. Most people will realise you've been around for a while if you care to have a short conversation with them. In all honesty: You guys are exaggerating, want to be scrutinized, crave appreciation, and seek for nothing more than attention. But that's just the impression I'm getting.
I too wish that the trophies do get altered a little. Some of them're quite shifty, to be completely honest. -.-
I'll pit this in to practise. You're in a school. You have to get a certain mark on a test paper to pass, and it determines what set/class you'll get put into. Then, someone who sits there and does nothing gets the same mark as you, who tries your hardest etc etc; how would that make you feel? I'm not saying everyone would have this thought on it, but I would feel slightly put out and personally slightly embarrassed. Almost as if you're living under the name of a murderer. But way less of a serious thing, of course, but do you get my drift?
Not really. You're comparing two completely different situations. Morally, your point could somewhat have any value (if at all) , but the situations you are comparing having little to nothing in common are just dragging your argument into absurdity. I don't see how having a "status" on an online forum does matter in comparison to having good grades in real life. No, I hereby declare that I stick to my point.
I see it as no big deal. Yeah a bunch of people (including myself, yes) got active member, but it doesn't concern anyone does it? People will know you are the real deal and true active member if you show it. I know how it feels to accomplish such a goal and be proud, to get a fancier title than "member" makes you look good and all, but in the end this is just a forums for a game.
I don't like how I'm still just an active member despite having over 2000 culmulative posts (a lot were lost), having 131 trophy points, and being here for 1 1/2 years...

If I would have wanted to message you privately, I would have done so. I wanted to clearly state my opinion on this and show how and why people exaggerate so much. It is meant for everyone to be seen to get a clear judgement on a topic, considering this was posted in the "Discussions" forum. I hope you see my reasoning. As for LMurph007: Simply clicking your profile and noticing that you have accumulated an above-average number of posts, trophy points, etc. does suffice as to being recognisable, in my opinion.
Its just a little status, that holds no real meaning.. I don't see why you actually care about it, or what the desire is to have a higher rank than someone else.. You're making it feel as if it is some kind of competition, and if you ask me, when it becomes a competition, it becomes childish, and rather annoying.
I see no problem. It's just a little title on your screen. I'm technically a "Senior Member" on the foruns, but that doesn't matter to me. When it comes down to it it's just numbers that show you've been active on the foruns at some point. Nowadays people are racing for well known member. That doesn't officially make you a well known member of skyblok lmao. These races for well known member is pretty pathetic. Yes it's still 180
It's more the gap that irritates me, if anything. I care about it because even if it's a few pixels on a screen, I care about how people see me.
You dont need a little rank to be seen in a different way. People will respect, and notice you through forums activity, and other aspects such as quality of personality, not a word under your name.
