type [Privet] on the top and then type your name below it the sing can be on or above the door.

 

Basically what he said, but crouch, right click the door with a sign, type [private] on the first row and your ign name on the second row.

Then it works both ways, as a lock, or as a welcome mat.

 

You don't need to type your name, just the word [Private]

Get a sign and place it on your door by doing: Shift + Right click the sig on a door:

1. Here you have the door,
   
2. Here you have type and clicked the sign on the door by doing: Shift (Sneak) + Right click.
   
3. Here you typed [private] on your door
   
4. Here you typed your playername on the door, Mine is Jimmolas so I typed that, Just type your name.
   
5. Here you have your door privated. Only you can open it

If you want to add more people to your Private (Lockette):

1. Right lick the sign on the door (sometimes it won't work, because of the lag)
2. You type in chat: /lockette 3 <playername> (Second person on private)
3. Thirth person on the private (lockette) = type in chat: /lockette 4 <playername>

Wan't even more people on this lockette?

1. Place another sign by doing the first steps, and do the same as you did with the /lockette <playername>
