For future reference, we take ban appeals seriously. It's slightly offensive to be sarcastic in them, so please be mature if you ever have to go through this process again.

Most servers have the typical rules including no griefing. I understand you said you didn't read the rules, but why did you think it was okay to do this?

 

It's fair to say I didn't think it was ok for me to do this. At the time, I was more excited at the idea of bypassing hard work through the work of other people.

In terms of why I thought "it was okay to [steal from others' chests (grief)]": the motive behind the action was purely a lack of consideration for the other players. Like I said, I was pretty excited. I can't really put it into words other than the Id in Sigmund Freud's illustration of Id, Ego and Superego.

In terms of why I [didn't read the rules]: I haven't played Minecraft for very long yet, so this is the first server I have come across with rules. The only servers I played on prior to this were servers hosted by third party server hosting websites.
