So today on my island I tried to put a sign on my diamond block. When I finished typing out the sign, I clicked "Done" and the sign changed to saying "[Private] puddinguy62". I tried it again, and the same thing happened.

^Here's what I typed on the sign.

^And here's what came up afterwards.

Is this normal, or is it a bug with the plugin?

A diamond block is defined as a lockable valuable (same principle as containers and doors) in the Lockette plugin. I am assuming this was implemented after tons of beacon- and corresponding pyramid - griefs had to be dealt with.
Correct me if I'm wrong; I have never possessed any valuables, so I couldn't have possibly tried this before.

Edit: I've used the plugin quite a lot, however. You can manually add and/or remove containers, blocks, doors, etc. to the configuration file which detects the 'lockable' blocks.

That makes sense, thanks for the info. :)

Yes, diamond blocks were added to the lockable items list due to the high value.
I know on chests if I need to label other than lockette, I just do /lockette 3 (text)
I'm not sure if there's any other way to type things other than the lockette.

I believe it is possible to lock a chest by creating a private lock sign on one side, another sign for other/more users on the other and then use any open space on the chest for a third sign for plain text. Not sure about that, however.

Actually; tried sneaking whilst right-clicking a chest with a sign?

You could place all the lockette signs you need, then the plain text one, and then you could remove the lockette signs and you'd be left with the sign with the plain text.

Granted, given the actual idea works. Have you tried it?
