Mods are constantly getting msged. Most and almost all of the mods never have time to do what they want to do on the server. Either it being building on their island or hanging out with friends. I believe mods should have at least a 10 minute break for each hour they play. It would help with the stress the mods have been getting. This will also help with the inactive mods. One of the reasons why i resigned was the stress i was getting. And i think this would help so much. Hopefully some of you guys might take this into consideration as i believe this might help out the server.
Btw: This is mainly for net mods.

I would support, but the only problem is regarding if you're the only mod on, the chat would be full of swearing/spam promoting/spamming etc. and therefore un-moderated.

Well, In my opinion I don't think I need it since, I applied knowing the how hard and stressful it will be but I'm not sure about other mods. If I ever feel stressed I either go afk for 2-5 minutes or just put on some music to sooth my self

I'm on between both times (Busy and Calm) It's around 2 am when It's calm and It's very busy during the day for me. I usually work on my island and hang out with friends during that time

 

Maybe if there was multiple mods you could take turns with taking breaks.

 

Kind of hard to do when there is school involved. But yeah i understand. It would just really be cool for a mod to have a few breaks or something for them to build or their island as some people never have enough time to with their small time frame.

If a mod has enough money, maybe they could make an alt. They wouldn't advertise that they have an alt. Only their closest friends would know it is them. The alt account can be used to build, hangout and do whatever is relaxing.

 

Not everyone has that privilege, you suggestion is terrible no offence.

 

I realize that not everyone has that privilege, hence why I prefaced it with "If a mod has enough money...". Although not financially ideal, it may be a viable option to some moderators.

 

What about a /vanish plugin?

I've used one in the past that kept you off of any lists, and didn't let people directly whisper you.

We had access to chat spy regardless, so the mods could talk to eachother by whispering, even though the message wouldn't go through, you would see it via chat spy.

 

I'm not a mod so I can't truly understand the stress you're talking about (but I'm sure lots of mods are stressful)
So I personally, don't know if mods need breaks (again I'm not sure).

Hmmm, I kind of understand what you're saying, but in all fairness if there are like 3+ moderators online I guess that you could just do what you wish for a few minutes. But there are always going to be those troubling times where there are just 1 mod online. This is why I like to check out which people get promoted and what time they can come online. You can get up to 8 mods online when the Americans come online but around 9am-1pm [GMT] when there are a lower amount of people online, I see no more than 3. So if these breaks were implemented I think there would need to be a stable amount of moderators on at all times.

i agree theres so much pressure put on mods nowadays, especially on net, so instead of breaks i think there should be more mods being introduced, think about it, the more mods the more the mod can say "sorry im dealing with something atm can you msg Krissy" or something

therefore spreading things out rather than having breaks, in which, when the break is over, there will be tons of requests built up from the time the mods were away##so no support sorry
