Hi, i was just wondering if obsidian trading is legal? i have tried contacting mods but they haven't answered. I was also wondering if sand generators were legal, as i plan to make one.

Obsidian is now legal, sand gens are patched however.

Not in the 1.4 updates no, bukkit fixed them.

If you made a sand gen. that works it would not be illegal as long as it is for you own personal use. E.g. Using it to generate more sand to build with.

 

The following are the only illegal items:

• Sand
• Dirt
• Bucket(empty)
• Bucket(lava)
• Bucket(water)
• Bucket(milk)

Obsidian is fine.
Taking the list above into account, no, sand trade would not be legal (whether it be generated or not). However, if (by some miracle) you make a working sand generator, you can use the sand yourself and for your co-op partners.
