I think it's because there's situations when someone upgrades a player for free, just like the rank giveaway that aki_da_hobo hosted. Also, Cyp saw his thread, and he would've said something if he hadn't agreed with what aki is doing.

 

That's an upgrade for free. Aki isn't taking in-game items to upgrade someone. It's different than what I'm describing.

 

I understand, but the staff can't always know if someone actually paid in-game items for their upgrade. And unless the players trade in a chest, there aren't gonna be any logs, either.

 

I totally get what you mean. There may not be logs for in-game items for cash or in-game items for upgrades. The mods won't know the trade agreement unless it's clearly stated.

I've been seeing a lot of this type of stuff in the trade section:
Player 1: "Buying bunnyhead for diamonds".
Player 2: "I'll give you a bunnyhead and 20 diamonds for upgrade from 100 to Skygod".

I think it should be illegal. Player 2 should receive a warning or ban for trying to coax Player 1 into spending real money for in-game items/abilities.

 

Buying donor ranks for in-game is totally fine as the money is going towards the server, it's supporting the server to keep it alive for longer.

Players selling items for real money is basically making crew lose money when he needs that money to keep Skyblock alive.
