I suggest changing the limit of /nick "yournamehere".
it is really simple to do, and can be done in literaly 2 minutes, It would benefit skygods when coloring because they can only make their name so long with colors included.. and also some players names are longer than the limit with even 1 color in front. I think maybe another 10-15 characters can be sufficient, but i see no reason to why this wont be done, except maybe /nick 236ybqnjwgb as some sort of abuse/spam, but whats stopping players from doing that already?

 

sorry but no support people always overshoot the lenght of their nicknames anyways so

 

i cant change my name to "Penguin" thats not overshooting it.

 

i know that can be annoying but rather than adding more characters to the limit they should just try to come up with a way to make it not count those color codes.

 

But adding a longer limit would be a short term fix ;p

 

I guess the main issue would be random number abuse and maybe having your nick super long and out into the chat? I really don't know what would be the issue with this, as player usernames can be long as well. So, support, although this won't really affect me.

 

I know that some players will do that, but as i said before, whats stopping them already from doing it, they know they will be banned for nick abuse.

Yers ;p and on .org the limit is alot longer, never in the 4 months i was a moderator there did i have to ban somebody for the abuse of having a /nick edhu82hyu ect.

The nickname character length isnt set by the server its a minecraft client restriction
