True true, however, donation has become a word associated and it has now become the technical name, if you catch my meanig
If he never said this in the past, I think donors will keep their perks, but the servers may have to remove the ability to donate.

This server is technically fine, we are having people DONATE, and in return, the server gives them a little boost.
Believe me, they don't see it as donating and the new EULA wont either. Notch tweeted that they'd allow for cosmetic things, so the pet plugin, maybe a trails plugin, stuff like that will be fine. I also believe commands that aren't a part of vanilla should be fine (things like /fly, /god, etc) as they aren't a part of minecraft, but instead added through an outside plugin. I'm not sure on that yet though.
This is all way over my intelligence level when it comes to this technical stuff. However, I don't think that this could possibly be enforced everytime, because of the huge number of servers accepting donations and giving things in return. I guess the real question is at what point does a gift turn into a transaction? Because if you donate and get a thank you gift, it is allowed. So one could think of the perks on Skyblock and the donor kits as a gift for donating. But, we do donate knowing we will get these items in return, so it could be counted as a transaction. It's all just a mess of very thin lines. I honestly don't know what they are going to do with this mess.
