I am creating this thread due to the large amount of chargebacks that have happened recently. Many of you are aware of Vachi who bought multiple people the skygod rank, before charging them all back to the server, causing multiple people to get banned. I am sure many of you have heard of StrawHatPirates. He was banned for someone buying him just a few grass blocks and charging back. This resulted in straw getting banned for something he could not have prevented. This brings me to my point. This is a major problem for Cyp, Crew, and everyone involved, and it needs to be solved.

In Straw's case an in game confirmation would solve the issue. The deal with Vachi however is much more difficult to solve. Any ideas are welcomed below.

P.S. Can a mod please tag Cyp. I would love to see his feedback on this topic.

 

I'll just put Cypriot's and Crew's view for you It is a risk that if you take, you should be aware of. If someone buys something for you without telling you and then charges back, I think that could be an interesting topic.

Straw didn't exactly have the choice, but you are correct about the others

 

No-one has any control over chargebacks, unless u buy said item yourself.if I wanted to I could buy anyone and everyone a cheap item and chargeback resulting in them being banned. They would have no control over any of this. So if someone upgrades you, make sure you fully trust them and are able to contact them in case anything go wrong. My only suggestion is there be some kind of password when purchasing something. For Instance, Instead of me just entering my ingame name, I'd also have to provide a password I created.

Vachi is banned on buycraft but i am still not unbanned as vachi did it to me and she bought it without her telling me -,.,-

I think adding a password would help solve these issues. Now whether buy craft will allow that or not I don't know.

 

That would be very helpful to many players buycraft should set one of those password things mojang does it will make charge backs much rarer

andrewswj is also banned due to vachi. I do not think its fair that these players get banned.
I think for this instance, Cyp should just unaban those that were formally upgraded using Vachi's paypal account. This should be an exception because of the SUPER HIGH number of chargebacks she did which had impacted and inflicted damage to the community of skyblock.

 

Correct me if I am wrong, but the people that were upgraded by Vachi opted to do the upgrade. Cyp and Crew lose money every time they are charged back. I believe the only way to solve your situation is to pay the fees. This thread was created to find a way to prevent further chargebacks from happening.

 

The issue with chargeback s are you lose more money than someone pays due to fees. (At least I thought that.)
